It's a little slow for regular gamers. I'm able to tolerate it because "Low End Gaming" is something I dabble in for..uh...*reasons*
-dx11 startup option added
The first level's size shows a lot of difficulty rendering if you flick around really fast.
I had a few times where I could not escape full screen. I also saw increased performance issues on this laptop running Full Screen.
First off, laptops don't really work using the WASD keys with the trackpad, at least not on this laptop. Secondly, I had some problems with trackpad sensitivity.
The first level is signifcantly slow regardless of system, assuming it even runs. This is because the map for the first level is HUGE and takes up a lot of memory and a lot of shuffling around.
Once you get past the first level performance increases dramatically due to the smaller maps.

I've seen some people mentioning the graphics, they are intentionally grainy as to simulate a 1980's or 1990's VHS Camcorder.
-dx11
I had slight performance problems on the default settings, mostly the gamma being a little dark, and some very minor slowness on this setup, but otherwise a vast improvement from my older i7 Laptop.
The Complex: Found Footage runs as intended but in my experience runs best with the -dx11 startup variable and Proton 7.0.6. You will NEED a discreet graphics card (AMD or NVIDIA) to run this game as it doesn't like any form of Intel On-Board video I have tried. It will be slow on anything older than 2016.

Runs sort of okay.
Runs HORRIBLY slow. This game does not look good enough to be running this bad.
Games has audio popping and cracking. RUNS LIKE TRASH

gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -W 3840 -H 2160 -F fsr -f -e -- %command%
Using Gamescope with AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 I was able to play with good performance.

Pops up some screen for a second and then exits.
Does not work with either Default or Experimental.

Game runs well. Recommend using Proton GE for better framerates but not mandatory. Runs about as good as it does on Windows.
You can see some lights through walls which may take away from immersion

It shows a dialog prompt that says "Fatal error!" then exits

Works perfectly!
If you're not QWERTY change your keyboard layout then disconnect from your session.
In /home/%HOME%/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1942120/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/TheComplexFF/Saved/Config/Windows/ set sg.GlobalIlluminationQuality=1. Without this change the game is extremely slow.

Alt-Tabbing was a bit awkward (screen flickering) on fullscreen.

Fatal Error when launching
Opens file manager. Manually launching it provides a "Fatal Error" messagebox with no other details (No exit code, no error code, just a messagebox that says "Fatal Error")
Steam lauches a file manager, had to lauch the game in the binaries folder
sluggish on the lowest settings
Gameplay was sluggish
The game's optimization could be better. But overall I enjoyed getting to the pool area.
Turned all settings to the lowest settings
Game lauches the file manager
Sluggish gameplay
Would be great if the game had better optimization

Although performance was slow (12 fps) I still enjoyed it and had fun throughout the time I played for.
Made CTRL avaliable
Constant 12 fps
Going into settings breaks game. Game boots a file explorer and the exe needs to be launched manualy.

Game not launch directly, steamos open file manager to find a binary
Any change in parameter menu break interface
Any change in parameter menu break interface
12 FPS on steam deck, not possible to ajust graphic parameter (not considered)
It is surprising to have to launch the binary in the open file manager after launching the game from the Deck's gaming interface. Test in video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4CT08e8S5s

A SteamOS file manager is launched first, launch binary manualy on Steam Deck (Not a Windows PC)
Graphical bug on interface if any change resolution or modification on graphic parameter
Graphical bug on interface if any change resolution or modification on graphic parameter
12 FPS, not possible to adujst graphism
It is surprising that the file manager is open before the game, forcing you to launch the binary manually. I have never seen this behavior on Steam Deck
Runs mostly perfect, only froze once at the neighborhood level
Steam will launch a file manager, go into Binaries/win64 and launch the .exe
Game runs perfectly, only a little bit of stutter at the start of the neighborhood level
Steam will start a file manager, to launch just go into Binaries/win64 and launch the .exe
