I've used CET, REDmod (Search on DLCs), REDScript and other mod loaders. Recommend to use Gamemode for better performance, also General Optimisation Mode

Works exactly same like on Windows. Some tweaks are required to play with mods, but it's not really hard to do

If you are about to mod the game, you should install vcrun2022 and d3dcompiler_47 components, also add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm,version=n,b" to game Launch Options
If you experiencing a problem when cursor goes out of window when you on the game try use gamescope with your personal parameters or use my own, but i think you should use another resolution, just because i'm an ultrawide monitor user. Got some issues with performance at the start, but i switched to ext4 NVMe disk to play. Now i have no issues with clean and modded game

I've got error on native version, it gets error with hl2.sh file. I just switched to Windows version. No any issues
Some windowing settings applies only after restart and only after applying it again
When you trying to play with friends, for some reasons if you being a host some people with Windows machine can't join you
Grand Theft Auto V works fine on this hardware and on Linux at all. You can't play Online on Linux because of unsupported BattlEye.

A solution for GTAO with some "but" on it: You can't play with people who has battleye enabled You can play with people who has exact same solution as yours Otherwise, you will be alone all time
Solution: Install FSL (local saves) to the game's directory
- Use protontricks, type protontricks 3240220 winecfg
- Go to Libraries -> New override for library -> type version
- Run GTA VE with launch options that leaved on this review
I've used protontricks for FAR mod. It requires dinput8 and vcrun2015 for starting. Also i've used russian localisation files

Works allright but with little issues. When you will try update the mods from superblt, game wouldn't start.

There is only one problem: Unsync. Can be fixed by VeloSync mod

When you trying to load map it can just crash. Not so frequent, but it's playable

I haven't tried modifying the game like I modified Cyberpunk, but without any modifications the game can be stable and smooth.

When game is starting it shows blue screen and it doesn't applying window settings. When game is initializing completely everything is allright
When you swithing locations it can be laggy for a while (about 10 FPS for 1, 1.5 second)
You can run it with Standart Proton, GE-Proton or TKG-Proton, if you want
Only real yakuza will play this game with gamepad!

Unfortunately, like another dekstop mates, it creates huge black background on screen. I tried to trick it with KDE Window Rules, but it doesn't help, for some reasons KDE can't indentity window after game reload. Gamescope didn't a solution also
