cant get past the launcher it loads in a transparent window and doesnt ever load in so couldnt even launch the game to try anything :( although i did go into the files and saw that EAC wasnt even installed yet.kinda strange, installing it still didnt do anything different though
i quit this game 7 years ago glad nothing changed

HEAVY stutter and freezes
you can technically play the game but the stutter is so bad and the game frequently freezes to load an animation e.g after swinging melee a couple times the stutter on it never occured again or freezes, you can encounter a fun part where the game doesnt crash but freezes ultimately this occurs mostly on gathering resources because your character constantly does an animation while its trying to load it , i love this game and i hope they have enough time to fix the game by jul 10th, there might have been server lag or latency but the stutter makes it unoticable and undistingwishable, what this game needs to stop crashes on startup is not pop the TOS agreement during the cutscene it would just stop it no clue why they play simultaniously

its all slow i had to wait like 5 minutes before playing for all the textures to come in place and load
this was a funny it uhhh alt tabbed me but i was still in the game and like my browser consisted a small portion of my screen in the middle but i couldnt interact w it
it runs mega slow but flows between 2-20 fps
the worst part was the clear re using of assets massively which can be a problem and might be cause of the slow like i dont need 50 of every generic space dweller and they all make a noise so its annoying, having the ai voice be so bad is cwazzy for 2024

like other reviews before this state the only results you get by switching versions is immediately crash to the launcher or 'please run this game through steam', i read comments about there being kernel lvl anti-cheat but only for the china installation didnt see evidence of there being one for the other regions but def possible bc borked xd play next
runs like my fridge
only on startup doubled EVERYTHING on my screen so it could resize resolution but doesnt pose any real problems
