It works w/o any tinkering, fps isn't great but it's more then playable!
So so performance at 2560x1440, but fully playable (50-80 fps at pretty much max graphic settings)
Game just don't seem very optimized.
Update to my former review. installed game on fresh OS install. This time uplay would not install for some reason. Solved by opening "UPlayInstaller.exe" in my case ~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Assassins Creed Odyssey/Installer_Resources with protontricks and adding wineprefix to game.
--skip-launcher (and the nvidia dlss/rt stuff)
Steam Cloud won't sync, think it's corrupted from beta
Worked out of the box, DLSS seems to work and it was welcomed on my system, had to turn off motionblur, it was horrible imho.
About Multi Player, i did not even see any multiplayer options tbh, ive just started it SP to see if it worked, and so far it works great, but more testing is needed. (24 min playtime) Could not get any RayTracing, didnt even see any option for it. launch options "PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr %command% -dx12" not sure if its right but works for some other games =P.
Works great, RayTracing and DLSS (dx12 checked in game) !
had some minor slowdowns at first, game crashed once or twice in 13 hours, but other then that pretty much perfect!
Steamcloud saves from win machine didnt show, other then that it seemed fine.
Got an incompatability warning on startup, and game crashed a few times after intro movie, can't really tell why but after some tinkering i ended up running it just fine in native res (2560x1440/144hz) with full RayTracing and balanced DLSS (PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr %command%).
memory usage increases over time (leak?) up to around 25gb, still fully playable.
60-90+ FPS except in crowded towns, works a charm!
crashed every time after a couple of minutes!
no go for my system due crashing!
Game loads EP-warning then crashes w/o any message.
Tried the recommended sync options w/o any luck.
Ran great, had some FPS slowdowns when i tinkered to much with graphics settings but a restart of the game and it was back to 100-144 fps.
Raytracing option was greyed out, that said i did not bother researching RT/Linux/Nvidia and wether its possible or not!
had some wierd fps dips, seemed to dissapear with -nolauncher -noborder options. Benchmarked 90+ fps on max settings
