Assuming you get the custom launch options sorted (and run a compatible proton version), its a great experience.
eval $(echo "%command%" | sed 's/Chivalry2Launcher.exe/TBL\/Binaries\/Win64\/Chivalry2-Win64-Shipping.exe/')
Game would not make it past launch splash without custom launch options
Connected to multiple matches just fine, but was only queuing as a solo player. No noticable abnormalities.
Performs great, but requires some tinkering to get it to launch correctly
Multiplayer performance on a good connection was indistinguishable from singleplayer

Following these instructions, https://github.com/redmcg/wine-mono/wiki#with-protontricks, but only removing the existing version of wine-mono was necessary. After that, on launch wine re-installed necessary drivers.
Failed to start game with crossplay - Midnight Ghost Hunt was not started with EOS bootstrapper. Please re-launch the game through steam
After trying multiple proton versions (GE-Proton7-37, GE-Proton7-55, GE-Proton8-14, Proton Experimental, Proton 8.0-3), the epic games launcher still seems to be throwing errors.
This might be fixable with a 3rd party launcher, but the game is borked on normal steam.
After some initial trial and error (earlier proton versions would not launch), and **running the game in DX11** , runs great in MP and SP.

FPS is a little inconsistent on some maps. Unsure how much of this is Linux/Proton vs the game being in Early Access though.
Initial menu is extremely laggy compared to the actual game. FPS gets way smoother upon entering a lobby/mission.
If the menu is laggy, adjust your settings to a lower quality. Some of the reflections/higher-end details cause quite a bit of lag in the menu.
It gets a lot better once you get into a map/lobby.
Was running game in DX11. It appears DX12 support is experimental, even on Windows, as of time of writing.
Haven't played this on anything but Linux since purchasing the game and it runs great. Only had a few minor hiccups, usually after updates.
In ~142 of playtime its only happened a few times, but it has abruptly crashed on me more than once.
Managed a full playthrough streched across multiple sessions with no issues, utilizing the decks hibernation feature.
Game runs great outside of tolerable matchmaking difficulties. Hopefully this will improve as they update the game.

Deploying into multiplayer lobbies occasionally results in the game freezing entirely on the graphical loading screen. (when the loading wheel in the bottom left stops spinning during a deploy)
This seemed to occur every match/every other match. I'm unsure how much of this is proton vs the game recently releasing (others on Windows have described similar matchmaking issues), but I've been able to force quit and restart the game without losing any gear (as the crash happens before a successful deploy).
Occasional restart required before being able to deploy into a match successfully. Once successfully in a match, I have yet to have any issues.
I've tried experimental as well as multiple GE versions, proton 7.0-2 was the only one I was successful with on my current install.
Runs great. Input is a little wonky for some menus, but mostly due to game being a ported mobile game, not proton.
If wine prompts to install extra dlls/libraries, just walk through that menu until it finishes installing them.
