Sometimes I have to hold the Steam Deck closer to my eyes (30-50 cm) to read the mission texts.
You get 2 black borders on the top and bottom of the screen, as the game only seems to support 16:9
The game is fine if you don't mind holding the Steam Deck closer to your face to read some of the text. I'm getting about 30-40fps out of it. Doesn't seem to dip below 30, or it's at least not noticable.
Works great
Keyboard/gamepad input bug. The mentioned executable hack didn't work for me.
I've started playing this with a gamepad due to the keyboard vs gamepad UI bug.
Runs perfectly and fast
No issues at all. It runs super smooth on maximum settings on my hardware. The DualSense controller integration is fine too, including the touchpad.
It runs well with DirectX 11 and the "PROTON_USE_SECCOMP=1 %command%" launch options as mentioned in other posts.
I have to alt-tab to an other app and back again to fix a framerate or performance issue. The game is slow until I do that.
The game has several bugs, but they are not related to Linux. My friend has these issues in Windows too:
- Infrequent crashes (I had 1 crash so far in 3 hours of playing - my friend had 1 crash too in the same timeframe)
- Occasional issues connecting the gamepad. Restarting the game fixes this. My friend has the same issue with his steering wheel and/or pedals in Windows.
Works very well with very good performance on high graphics settings. You can lower the graphics settings to increase battery life.
Doesn't work with DualSense 5
DualSense 5 controller is not working well, so the game was unplayable with it. The controller is recognized, but the buttons are only working intermittently. I don't enjoy playing it with the keyboard.
Requires switching to Proton 8.0-2 for DualSense to work.
Had to reconfigure screen resolution settings. It also glitched a bit, but it was possible to change.
The game is clearly made for mouse and keyboard. I didn't think gamepad was enjoyable.
The gamepad controls are subpar and text is hard to read.
The launcher requires touch screen usage. Doesn't work with gamepad.
It's a pity that the launcher doesn't work with the gamepad controls. Otherwise this game feels like it was made for the Steam Deck.
