I originally played on proton experimental and 9.0 and the game runs at a lower framerate and completely crashes upon reaching videos
Video's only have audio with a black screen.
Playable? Yes. A good way to play? No.
Audio playback with no video or just no playback at all.
With regular proton and experimental it freezes upon reaching an OP or Credits. I recommend turning off videos in engine settings (in game) on all versions and using youtube as an alternative to watch the openings. For slightly better framerate use proton GE
works as well as windows would (the bugs are just cus this game is so riddled with bugs).
Played the whole game with both DLCs using a PS5 controller with no issues

Alt tab flickers like crazy and is unusable even in borderless
On windows the best I could run was medium settings 1440p with frequent visual tearing issues. On Linux i can play 4K high settings or 1440p Max settings completely stable. With motion blur off of course.
It might be better later but as of right now the performance and black screen after most games are both really bad
uses loads of power? i heard the game just does in general
black screen once game ends. you can't see MVP or upvote other players

You can't host a game in multiplayer. However joining a host works perfectly.

Multiplayer works in 'friend only' as host. But works fine when joining private game.

the servers aren't great for the game in general but that could be because im playing with friends on the other side of the globe
Froze 4 times overall. Certain CGs seem to freeze the game. If you do choose to play on linux save often.
Probably better to just play on windows in virtual box.

Launching the game reguarly has no audio both in regular game and 07th Mod. Same experience for Answer arcs/Umineko When They Cry: Chiru

Unstable framerate but it's a visual novel that doesn't matter lmao.
Without tinkering only the opening didn't work as far as I could tell so not a big deal.
