Proton-6.12-GE-1
The game works fine with Proton 6.3-5, except for the video in the beginning not playing (it's the musical opening).
Custom GE Proton fixes this problem.
Runs perfect with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1
When 2 persons are playing, wireless controllers both are quite laggy. If controllers are connected wired, then everything is fine.
Works great.
Proton 5.13-1. Works in native ultrawide for me (2560x1080, without any black boxes on the sides) out of the box without any mods or anything. Although sometimes it starts in 1920x1080, but after a restart it's ultrawide again.
Played the game with these launch options: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command% I didn't use Wine D3D as others recommend because with it the game crashes every ~20 minutes. I used gamemode to increase performance, without it the framerate is not great.
I played with Dualshock4, but if I select it in the settings then the controls goes wild and register wrong buttons, so I left the default "xbox gamepad" in the settings.
I had some minor crackling, but it was solved with "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=5 %command%". After about half of the game the crackling started again despite the option. This time it was solved by removing that launch option at all.
Works out of the box, but only in windowed mode.
Fullscreen didn't work for me, showing only 1/4 of the screen. Windowed mode works fine.
Unplayable in English because there is no readable text.
English text is shown as squares instead of symbols
Switching to fullscreen in settings leads to game crashing. Can't launch the game afterwards, unless I delete all files from game directory: /PRICE/savedata (to clear saved settings I assume).
Runs perfect
Runs perfect, but on launch usually starts flashing black screen. To solve this, wait a few sec, then minimize all windows (by pressing win+D) and then click on Sekiro window or alt-tab to it to maximize it.
I managed to make this game run ultrawide on Linux without issues. Here's how:
- Unpack sekiro.exe using Steamless https://github.com/atom0s/Steamless/releases/ on Windows machine or Steamstub https://github.com/liberodark/steamstub on Linux machine.
- Using any hex editor replace "74 47 47 8B 94 C7 1C 02 00 00" with "EB 47 47 8B 94 C7 1C 02 00 00" in sekiro.exe
- Install Mod Engine - https://www.nexusmods.com/sekiro/mods/6
- Install Ultrawide UI Fixes - https://www.nexusmods.com/sekiro/mods/240 You DON't need "Sekiro Fps Unlock And More" mod because we use hex edit instead of that mod.
- Add launch options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll=n,b" %command% to make mod engine work.
- When launching the game, press enter to ignore Mod Engine warning.
Completed the full game, it run perfectly well, with no issues at all during the playtime. But almost every time when I closed the game, I had a tiny issue: a window of some sort 'something crashed, send us a report' and the process of the game didn't close itself, it was needed to be killed manually via task-manager or whatever.
Runs perfectly with Proton version 3.16-4, WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
launch options and ulimit -Hn
set to 1048576 (from the previous user's report).
If used with Proton version 4.2-9, then crashes right after title intro.
