Works fine on Proton 6.3-2
Small stutter every now and then. Enable vSync in the games config file to fix.
Using Proton 5.0-9, installed game and it ran out of the box, no tweaking required. Audio worked. It did take a while to stop stuttering but played smooth after a bit.
Still borked with Proton 5.0.1, crashed to desktop after the title screen.

Game crashes right after the title screen, setting xaudio2_7 to native fixes this. Once in game I had massive stuttering and freezing which forced to me to terminate the process. After a few restarts, it settled (possibly due to a now filled cache) and I was able to comfortably play through the whole game. I tried KB+Mouse as well as a game-pad, both works. Something to note, the game occasionally came out of full-screen mode when first loading the map, this might be Gnome Shell related, but I was able to set it back to full-screen by hitting Alt+Enter.

With Proton 4.2.9 the game freezes after the title screen, with 3.16-9 it freezes immediately after that.

Runs perfectly with Proton version 3.16-4, WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" %command%
launch options and ulimit -Hn
set to 1048576 (from the previous user's report).
If used with Proton version 4.2-9, then crashes right after title intro.

With 3.16 the game runs but has sound issue. With 4.2.2 Sound is perfect but Game crashes after Titel screen

Check your ulimit -Hn
(I set it to 1048576) and fix sound with (xaudio2_7 or similar, I don't remember) and game will work brilliantly

Game is playable but with extreme stuttering first time looking around in an area (presumably during shader state caching). Game gets occasionally stuck on frozen/blank screen between scene transitions, to make it progress hit alt+enter twice.
