Had to change to gamepad layout in the launcher. Had to restart the first time as it wasn't detected originally for some reason.
Annoying launcher requires changing to gamepad mode and using the touch screen but once launched the game is fine.
Tried switching to previous versions of Proton but I cannot get past the menu as it just doesn't work properly.
Rebound all the buttons to in-game shortcut keys
Initial install required downgrading to an older version of Proton. I was able to switch to the latest version after the installer had completed
If you want to play gamepad mode, it will probably be defaulted to keyboard and mouse making it impossible to change without switching to keyboard and mouse first.
Gamepad layout would take work to get used to if you're primarily a PC player. Multiple steps just to make the game playable. No good keyboard and mouse Steam Deck bindings make it a pain to play if you want to use the PC UI.
Set to 40Hz display
Touchscreen required for hte launcher.
Books have garbled text that is pixelated and only just readable if you focus on it.
Gyro sensitivity is a little wonky to use compared to other games
Outside of the standard Skyrim bugs (non-proton related), there are no issues I found
I did have a dock problem where the sound was playing via the Steam Deck instead of through the TV. Restarting the game fixed this and I don't believe it was a Proton issue. Making a note for anyone that encounters similar, just in case.
Gamespeed is tied to the frame rate. Any drops below 60 will reuslt in slowdown so don't lock FPS below 60 and you should be fine.
