Works
Somewhat better than the Windows experience due to the fact that fullscreen doesn't suck.
Extra broken on my hardware configuration, but needs improvement with not just Intel GPUs
Black lines across the 3D rendering (likely Intel issue). UI was completely fine
Exiting and re-entering is extremely choppy, felt like I was on Windows again
Mouse sensitivity is way too high (my mouse is a normal dpi)
Lag spikes almost every time something was loading
Same GPU crashes as EquuaPotesta mentioned, so higher frame rates are still broken currently
I made my session public online for the first time and didn't realise how cool it was
Unable to use ray tracing or XeSS frame gen at all
Can enjoy a smooth game without worry on Arc. Surprisingly smooth on 1080p Ultra settings!
Medium-High settings and perfect 90fps, even underclocked a bit!
Horrible frame pacing and FPS lows compared to playing natively on Windows.
Linux version does not boot at all, had to switch to Proton.
Native Linux version starts "running" but takes 0% CPU and doesn't open any window at all. I cannot find any information about this issue, so I switched to Proton.
Couldn't even beat a single stage, turning feels more sluggish than it already does in normal gameplay due to issues with frame pacing.
Great out of the box.
ONLY degredation I can observe is worse generic/SDL gamepad support, the "DualShock 4 Default" binding preset does not line up with the DualSense controller, in the way that it does on Windows. Thankfully, Steam Input does not conflict with the game's input system at all, so all I needed to do was turn it on. Game looks and runs great overall!
Rendering looked specly, most likely an Intel issue here
Absurdly low frame rate compared to Windows
I don't know why I even marked it as recommended the first time, I experienced the same slowdown even on the older setup... I can safely say the slowdown wasn't an issue with the hardware since now I'm on different stuff.
I know the slowdown issue is with real-time reflections, but I just prefer to have them on when playing on desktop. I'm fine with having it off on the Deck, so it's gonna run fine :)
Some artifacting on Bloom, most likely an Arc issue
Frame rate issue is completely null and gone, not sure what changed but awesome!
Perfectly fine experience.
Game behaved exactly as expected in all aspects. I'm near 100% completion!
Vanilla game functions perfectly, I made a pretty character and enjoyed doing the first level and a freestyle session without a problem.

PAKs in the custom_songs folder will not load at all
Mods do not work and there is no documentation on getting the custom_songs folder working, but otherwise the game functions perfectly so long as you use Launch options to force bypass Epic's required login.
Marking as not recommended until Proton fixes support for Mod Manager
Mod manager does not work properly OOB. According to Zennn from ZOOM Platform staff, an upstream Wine update broke its capability to look at Workshop content folders. For now users must force Proton 8.0, launch the mod manager, then go back to their preferred version.
Game itself works perfectly, and personal mods that you put in the mods folder will show up fine, but content from Workshop will not show up past Proton 8.0. Hopefully this will get fixed on the latest version of Proton soon.
The previously mentioned issue with mod manager on Linux was quickly fixed after me and a couple people complained in the ZOOM server, cool people. Runs smoothly, even with upscaled textures!
Works well OOB
Slightly worse stuttering and frame pacing than Windows. Not like it matters much since it's already horribly optimised.
The fact this is playable on Linux (and with the EOL-esque updates that remove fomo like Backstage and Realms) is getting me back into this game, so of course I had to write a report here too.
Crashes while initially loading
You can go as far as generating all the shaders in the loading screen, but after a certain point the entire program freezes.
After that's fixed, there is issues with fullscreening anyway.
Good to play OOB
Slightly degraded performance compared to Windows
On first time boot, it wouldn't matchmake at all. After that, it works perfectly fine every time.
Nearly perfect experience, happy to play this when I am in a rare multiplayer mood
unstable 40 fps
Low settings doesn't even increase the frame rate much, and still performs bad no matter how low I set the resolution
Mostly low to medium settings, but I would recommend cranking the texture res up to high. There's enough RAM to go by and even medium textures looks really bad by comparison.
Crashes at the initial loading screen
Might compile shaders in the loading screen, then freeze afterwards.
Works perfectly.
Highly compatible Unity version without any niche plugins, so I expected it to work good. And what I got was the same if not a better experience than Windows.
Enjoy a simple platformer on the go out of the box :)
It just works
Fullscreen is not default, very minor complaint
Godot seems to make for perfectly functional native Linux games <3
Standard Unity affair, works out of the box
Didn't tinker with anything. Works fine!
I'm an early tester, which is how I'm able to post this as a game I own right now. Playability may be subject to change if the Unity version changes or they add a new plugin in the future.
Forcefully disabled all of EOS
I use M&M's pak to disable EOS, as well as my steps to remove the EOS installer and disable it from running on launch. You shouldn't have any issues without it, but it's what I needed for a hassle-free experience with a quick boot time.
Native Linux version has incorrect shaders or something, resulting in red outlines and splotches everywhere.
Minor frame pacing issues on Proton
As usual, native version has an issue the Windows version doesn't, so I just have to use Proton anyway. What's even the point of games having native Linux builds on Steam if they never work?
Used HedgeModManager and the Direct3D 11 mod to fix and optimise the game
I wouldn't recommend vanilla Generations on Deck, but with the Direct3D 11 mod you can hit a perfect 90fps at native res.
Can play docked with multiple types of controllers (one bluetooth, one USB), no issues with order or input!
This game's CRT filter looks REALLY good on the OLED screen...
Frame rate dips or becomes choppy despite the performance overlay still saying 60fps. I think this is an issue with Clickteam but I don't have any other examples
The most unfortunate thing I'd say is that the game only supports 16:9, so the game is letterboxed. Still looks great on the OLED.
Locked 45fps Low-Medium settings at native res <3
"Native" version does not support Steam Cloud. Running the Windows version with Proton, it works as expected.
It's a 2D game with classic effects, it has no difficulty running flawlessly on basically any machine. Any overhead with Proton is negligible!
Until I know for sure the native build was updated, I'll be sticking to forced Proton
Works perfectly out of the box. I am able to play the game without any noticeable Linux-specific issues. Looks and runs fine in fullscreen!
Recommended you use the widescreen fix by ThirteenAG https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#srs (it is a drag and drop .asi script, all you need to do is use a text editor to input your resolution in the .ini)
Fullscreen minimizes when unfocused, even if going to a window on another monitor
(WiVRn) Bad flickering on some surfaces when Pixel Light Count is on at all perfectly fine on desktop mode
(WiVRn) 30-60fps on LOWEST settings (Desktop) 100+fps max settings
