Just dont play online unless you want your IP pulled but otherwise great if you dont play multiplayer lobbies. Stick to local lobby zombies or solo

Works only natively. DONT use gamescope or proton
When enabling gamescope or using proton, just gives you a nice a middle finger from Valve saying "VAC is unable to verify game session". Ive now reinstalled it around 5 or 6 times just to be totally borked. had i not f***ed around with gamescope to get stretched res id be able to play but no matter how many times i reinstall, verify files, restart steam it just does not work. Tad bit ironic seeing as gamescope, proton and CS are quite literally made by the same company only to place you in the same catergory as a cheater for using their own tweaks.
found i have more fps on GE-Proton9-26. However, i could not connect to region servers without being on the latest GE version. all other proton versions (including Valves proton) could not connect to regional servers
tested PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND and lowered performance if anyone was interested.

Can only recommend if you have a really beefy pc. Despite myself being way above the recommended system specs, fps and frametimes are bad.
Frame times are quite bad, fps is pretty inconsistent.
wait for a patch to address the bad 0.1% and 1% lows.
Works out the box. I have no need to run proton since the fps is on par or better than Windows.
I have no need to run proton since the fps is on par or better than Windows. When you get into a game the game tends to freeze but tabbing in and out resolves it. Overall 9/10
