Nothing to say, except it worked right out of the "box" for me and Fedora Workstation 42.
Works out of the box

The game is fullscreen, but rarely the mouse cursor pops out to my other screen. Also, sometimes after alt-tab it fails to go fully full screen again and the taskbar stays on top. This is usually fixed by alt-tabbing a few times more.
Runs great and everything seems to work straight out of the box.

Works flawlessly out of the box. A much smoother experience than Windows with stabler frametimes.

Provate steam flatpak
Works OOTB - just download, install & enjoy. Can't recommend enough.

Sometimes I have to restart the game 2-3 times to get good FPS
After playing for a while my keyboard keys start lagging and holding themselves pressed long after being released

PC Hard Crash (Black Screen) After Extended Gameplay Sessions
Description
As referenced in my previous report, the game causes a full system hard crash (resulting in a black screen) after approximately 2-3 hours of continuous gameplay. The crash appears to be GPU-related. Following the initial crash, subsequent gameplay sessions become unstable and trigger additional crashes more frequently.
System Impact
- Full system lockup requiring hard reboot
- Increased crash frequency after initial incident
Solution / Workaround
Add this launch option to the game:VKD3D_CONFIG=nodxr %command%
Technical Explanation:
This disables DirectX Raytracing (DXR) via the Vulkan translation layer (VKD3D-Proton), resolving GPU stability issues as documented here:
ProtonDB Report #X5XRrfMTUZ

Ran perfectly. FSR supported. Literally 0 issue.
No change compared to what I used to play on Windows. Perfect.

It runns great and is a very good game but i have crashes after some time
After some time the game crashes and leeds to a compleate black screen that only a hard reset fixes

40FPS/40HZ limit, 13w TDP
With FSR3.1 enabled, item descriptions and tutorials/help appear blurry and shimmer
Installed GOG version via Heroic. Took care of all dependancies. Roughly 60 hours into the campaign so far and the game runs great.
I played through KCD1 to completion just before starting KCD2, and KCD2 runs better in every way. Better graphics, animations, sound, voice acting, optimization, frame pacing, and how it runs on Steam Deck.
Two options for for graphics: either lock to 30FPS with FSR off, or 40fps with FSR on. FSR upscaling does provide higher FPS, but there is some minor ghosting with plants, map looks terrible, and item description in the menu is more blurry. However the majority of the gameplay looks good and runs very smooth with FSR.
GOG / Heroic does not have cloud saves for KCD2 unfortunately, and the achievements do not register in my GOG account on Linux.

The game sometimes does not start.
With my AMDGPU I was facing many issues with even starting the game. After weeks of trying I am not able to quite safely start and enjoy the game. What I did:
- I had to upgrade mesa libs to the latest one (probably most critical for my amdgpu)
- upgraded linux kernel to latest version
- I don't start the game after the computer wakes up. I rather restart the computer before playing
- I disabled resizable BAR + Above 4G Decoding in UEFI
My all issues seem to be somehow related to my amdgpu configuration.
Worked perfectly out of the box

Added mods

Works as intended
Had zero issues, genuinely amazing on Linux

Runs like a charm, just had to update the launch options. Using GE proton, just because, probably not required.

Had some stutters after few hours, every time I changed view with mouse - same as in RDR2. Putting in the launch options fixed that.
For some reason, save files have timestamp one hour off my timezone. Nothing game breaking.
It gives me a black screen with just a cusor

tested PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND and lowered performance if anyone was interested.
Ran perfectly on Porton 9.0-4
Game launches to a black screen with cursor in game cursor.
After a few minutes of launching, the game starts freezing. It started after I switched to Ubuntu 25.04 and Nvidia 570. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Game does not start or freezes at EULA page
The game does not start at all, freezes right after starting with black screen or freezes on the EULA page. All seems to be random.
Tried with Proton Experimental, GE, standard version, ...
Tested on *tfu* windows and Mint OS - easly outperfomed on Mint Os. If you have Hybrid CPU, pin those perfomance CPU to get extra 30-50 FPS

I have to say, after 86 hours I finished the main story. Without any issues and with long gaming sessions, no crash at all... I'm impressed.

This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, and it runs extremely well.

Czasami pojawiają się artefakty dźwiękowe (rzadko) w rodzaju trzeszczenia
Podczas poruszania się czasami postać dalej reaguje pomimo braku wciśniętego klawisza (trwa to zdecydowanie za długo aby nazwać to lekkim dyskomfortem)
No issues at all, works flawlessly.

Running perfectly without any tinkering
Install launch and play.
Perfect performance, seems to be even faster than on Windows 11

Ran better than on Windows, with the same machine I had 70-80 fps on Windows 10 and get 90-100 fps on my Linux with the exact same settings and the same location ( I use steam cloud save to use the same save to test it)
Heavy flickering of the background during cutscenes.
