if you dont wanna deal with initial dxvk cache collection lag, there are accumulated caches made by the community (if you dont have trust problems downloading random binaries from the web) https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/t5xrho/dxvk_state_cache_for_fixing_stutter_in_apex/
EAC still boots you out of the lobby with Error: 500 while starting a game.
Works out of the box perfectly.
No problems whatsoever, was about time that they allowed it to run on linux :D
gog.com log in worked second try and the game runs without any problems.

Vulkan is currently broken for me and with that PoE in general. DX11/12 is unplayable.
Vulkan seems to be broken on nvidia GPUs right now. At least with my setup. As DX has massive stuttering issues, this means the game is currently unplayable.
The game throws the following error message on launch when Vulkan is used:
vk::createInstanceUnique: ErrorExtensionNotPresent
While i was, most people probably wont be happy being limited to non anti-cheat servers so i cant really recommend it.
EAC is installed by steam but not recognized by servers requiring it
Runs stable without any tuning. Multiplayer worked without a problem as well.
big freeze frames during every AI turn phase in the standard campaign
some coop features are still experimental but that is the same on windows
with the very latest Proton Experimental the game does not launch and instead gives the following error. as it worked in the previous experimental version without problems i expect this will be fixed soon enough.
.
Failed to initialize player
- Failed to initialize graphics.
- Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, have up to date drivers for your graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration in display settings.
- InitializeEngineGraphics failed
as long as you follow the advice from the link below, you will be able to play without any issues

setting "/proc/sys/vm/max_map_count" to something much larger than 65530 fixed the crashes permanently
Kicked due to "System Integrity Violation" = Too many fast clicks
As written in the title and seen in other reports, the 2.6.0 update has started kicking us from games. After a few hours of playtime and testing different weapons i noticed this only happens with semi automatic weapons (handguns, grenade launcher, etc). This and some older reports from users on windows getting the same error for mouse cheats, leads me to believe it that this is triggered by "spam clicking".
I tried only doing single, time spaced clicks with handguns and it stopped the kicks. When playing fully automatic guns, there is no need to spam click so this hasnt happened a single time in ~30 games with those. This is pretty reproducable so maybe add to your reports if you see the same behaviour.
