Works mostly well out of the box, but sometimes performance decreases over time
After running 1-hour sessions in a league I noticed occasional performance issues. Mostly it's all good, but sometimes I get a series of little freezes that lasts for 5-10 minutes. That negatively affects my ability to drive consistently in online races. Usually it comes back to normal, but nothing guarantees good performance over the whole play session.
Works flawlessly out of box.
In-game video scenes stutter a bit.
Huge rendering issues
Missing textures and objects, a lot of things are just floating in the sky.
You can install and play, mechanically it's fine; but half of objects and textures are missing, you can't play like that.
The game launches, but soon process stops without anything appearing on the screen. Couldn't get anything useful from the log:
The only problem I have is that fps drops when you switch focus to another window (e.g. into browser). Notable if you have 2 screens. Bug it's a minor issue.
Proton-6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command%
Here one of the key player inputs is when you move your right stick to the left/right and then do almost a full circle with it. It's similar to the letter G, where you start in the middle and move clock-wise. For some reason, with an Xbox Series X controller any movement past the initial left/right move is not registered, making the game practically unplayable. I had to switch to kbm.
got several fps drops during cut scenes, that made the game unplayable, had to restart it
I had 2 freezes, I had to kill the process. I'm not sure whether this is related to proton or not to be fair. In this game you save quite often, so I didn't lose a lot of time because this issue.
There is an error you have to close on every launch, but other than that it works perfectly.
The character was running in random directions, barely recognized any commands from the keyboard or mouse. Switch to 8.0-2 helped to fix that.
Sometimes fps drops in the map/inventory menu. Makes it hard to interact with the screen.
Got 3 crashes within 2 hours. Given that there is no autosave, I would save it's a notable problem. Save as often as you can.
As others said, requires proton 5.0-10 and to run "protontricks 304240 -q wmp11".
Played for a few hours. Explored the world, completed several quests, etc. Works perfectly out of box, no lags or crashes, gorgeous picture. If you told me 5 years ago I will play a game like this on ultra settings in 4k on Linux, I would laugh in your face. Simply great.
the game freezes at the end of chapter 11, I can't play any further
Game works, but with no FFB it's not really playable
FFB doesn't work
Tested with Moza R5 and moza-ff driver; I do have FFB in other games, including those that are running via Proton
