Works very well, the texture streaming issue is noticable but minor and fixes itself in a few seconds
Low-res textures when loading new areas initially
Install [Not Paradox Launcher(https://github.com/shusaura85/notparadoxlauncher/releases/) in the proton prefix.
Any of the options to bypass paradox launcher should fix the game not launching. The game itself runs flawlessly under proton. No more mod-induced crashes, unlike the native version.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command% --cores 1
~30FPS with DXVK. Solid 144 FPS with WINED3D
Constant desyncs (not proton-specific) and frequent crashes (possibly proton-specific). Not very playable.
I actually got better FPS than on Windows. Runs flawlessly, no bugs (well, except the ones that you're supposed to shoot, hehe).
Works reasonably well. FPS a bit lower than on Windows, an experienced a crash in multiplayer. Unclear if it is proton-specific though.
My experience is pretty bad. Long loading times, constant crashes, multiplayer worked half of the time.
Proton-6.5-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
protontricks -q dotnet40 win7
Textures sometimes are in low res (possibly game bug, reported on windows too)
~15 FPS less than on Windows (identical hardware)
Constant crashes on the anomaly, during expenditions
Multiplayer works half of the time.
Works as well (or as poorly) as on Windows. All of the bugs experienced are not proton-specific.
Works just fine with Proton 5.13. If you aren't sure, they have a free demo, give it a try first.
Loading is a bit slow, UI sometimes laggy (that is possibly the same on windows though)
Had 2 CTDs in ~40 hours of gameplay
Multiplayer works well, no anticheat.
Sometimes alt-tabbing in and out would decrease quality of the textures.
Random crash on alt-tab
