Not working with proton, at least here...
Tried different versions of proton
Tried different versions of proton to run the game, but no luck at all.
Can't run it :c Please don't be discouraged to try it, this is probably my hardware fault.
gamemoderun mangohud PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
I could launch the game, got a black screen for a couple minutes without any fps and then the game crashes. I was using gamemode and mangohud. Tried also without this options and got the same result.
gamemoderun mangohud PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% -oldgameui -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180
If you have an old intel or an integrated graphics you should use: -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 But when you arrive to open stages like surface tension, you may like to disable this option to improve a little bit performance
Don't use native version of black mesa, use proton version. If you have an integrated graphics card like intel or so, be sure to use "-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180" parameters on launch options. This will allow you to see inside dark places. But it'll reduce performance in open stages like surface tension, so you might consider disabling this option in these stages.
gamemoderun mangohud %command% --disable-gpu
If you get "ERROR:chrome_browser_main_extra_parts_x11.cc(62)] X IO error received (X server probably went away)" use launch option --disable-gpu
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Also, if you want to play windowed, just press Alt + Enter. If you can't play out of the box, try using PROTON_USE_WINED3D11 in the launch options.
Great game, it's worth it to play it on Linux, i couldn't play it on Windows for a long time.
OpenGl Troubles with gzdoom. If for some reason you can't run it because of this, look into the game folder, there must be a file called "Launch Hedon", add a line in the end with this: gzdoom -glversion 3.3
Before launching the game, be sure to have installed gzdoom on your system.
If you're having troubles to play it for OpenGl, be sure to add a line in the end of "Launch Hedon" (a .sh file you'll find on the game folder), with this: gzdoom -glversion 3.3
And, be sure to have installed on your system gzdoom before launching the game.
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Multiplayer has no problems at all
Couldn't start the game so i used launch option PROTON_USE_WINED3D11. Good perfomance and the multiplayer works fine.
Runs pretty well out of the box, the only time i got a issue, was a graphical one and i think that can be my hardware's fault
Some times getting trough portals could kill all the in-game render so i needed to restart the game
You should play it
The only thing that i don't like about it, is that this game can eat your whole processor alive
Any problem that i got from playing online, mostly was for my internet connection. Nothing bad to say about the game experience.
Best to play it with friends. Runs without problems, also, be sure to have a decent processor.
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
I've lost some save games when using the proton version of the game
You can run the game with Proton, but be prepared for save games to be lost. If you want a best experience, use the linux native version, for this you need to enable public beta of the game. Just right-click on the game, select properties, then betas and finally select public beta.
Ye... for a free to play payer is fine... Still, would be good if they fixed all the bugs in the game, steam and now linux...
Forget about the Store if you need to buy ogrines. This is a problem that happens both native and with proton, and even with the appimage that ankama has on their page. This problems seems to be for a connection not being able to stablish with some api that they use for the store as for i could check in the java logs.
Didn't have a bad time playing Wakfu, the only downside is the no Store bug
Ye, you can play it
I'm amazed that this can run without problems on a Docker Container
Some keyboard shortcuts in game doesn't seem to work
Amazing on a Docker Container
Game can be started but seems to be "twitching", also, forget about menus, hud, loading screens or cinematics.
Missing Menus, cinematics and loading screen. Screen "twitches" when playing on Manjaro Gnome.
Menus, HUD, rendering in general doesn't seem to work properly with my setup
Graphical Issues
gamemoderun PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
No problems when trying to play multiplayer, at least not any that seems from the game.
I got a better performance that when i played on windows, it took me a while to make trial and error to got it working, but now i can purge xenos hahahaha
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command%
