I disabled the game launcher changing the name file "StardockLauncher.exe" in "StardockLauncher.exe.old" and "AshesEscalation.exe" in "StardockLauncher.exe"
After this the game starts and i could run the benchmark without any problems!
The new rendering engine is out of beta and unfortunately I couldn't make it work with proton.
I tried all official proton releases (3.7, 3.11, 5, 6.3.8 and experimental)
The developers fixed the problems with the new engine, and using the beta branch the game works perfectly again!
I used only the steam connection and disabled EOS at first launch

The game works, but I had a problem with crash during the campaign. I solved them, restrincting the cpu cores used by the game itself.

If you crash during campaign trying use taskset
I used: protontricks 34330 d3dx11_42 To install the missing directx 11 library, without it the game crashed at launchh selecting dx11
If you don't bother to be the host or missing the mods, you can play without further problems
After deleting the EdgeWebViewRuntime in the game folders before the first installation, the launcher starts with the old version. I suggest to use the beta: temporary launcher workaround, to avoid problem with it.
In the official realm the game starts, but you can't join other lobbies. You can only be the host of the games. Mods don't work too. I had to install manually the Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime from the tools of steam.
The launcher remain an issue. Don't modify any content in the game folder or the anticheat will flag you, and use the beta branch "temporary bypass launcher" from steam.
GE added a patch to fix the webView2 installer bug and now the game does not throw an error while installing the launcher.
With GE-Proton-9-26 the bypass launcher is not needed anymore, but still recomended.
Valve updated proton Experimental, and now the launcher installation works without problem.
For everyone having EAC FileMismatch problem, i fixed this issue using this link https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/360007853137--PC-How-to-Resolve-Easy-Anti-Cheat-Errors and protonfixes. Note that not always works on first try and sometimes i had to do it 2-3 times. But it will work eventually.
You must enable temporary launcher workaround. If you have problem with the EAC use the protontricks and try to remove and reinstall EAC
