Game will not launch at all with Steam overlay enabled
Game starts stuttering heavily after about an hour of gameplay, no discernable pattern

Konnte das Spiel ohne irgendwelche Anpassungen starten und spielen. So wünscht man sich das.

Mit Proton 8.0-3 läuft es ohne Probleme. Keine Ruckler absolut flüssig.
Limited to 30 fps in the Steam UI. Turned grass rendering to "low"
In the UI settings change the UI scaling to 125% and then the small text problem is solved.
20 FPS on AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with integrated Radeon Graphics
Not really playable on my CPU (integrated gpu) with everything set to low. 20 fps is just too low.
Locked 30 FPS
Initial load time is rather high, even for the 512GB model.
Even though Valve reports that it's not possible to adjust the game's settings so it would run fine, it does run fine for me with locked 30 FPS. Grass seems to be a major performance hog, turn it off and it runs fine. Make sure not to restrict FPS via the ingame options, use the Deck's dot menu instead.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%
Low framerate with vsync disabled
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%
Caps out at ~18fps

PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1
Unable to go higher than 24 FPS, but GPU sits around 64% and CPU around 30%
The game seems to hang the gpu driver whenever you refuse to pay tribute to the attacking tribe
I am using Proton 7 through Heroic (I also have the Pulse Audio fix set and gamemode).

PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game does not crash when esyn/fsync is disabled, based on the github game report issue. Game ran with no crashes.
I didn't experience any crashes as others, but it gets sluggy from time to time, especially when you build things (more pathing?)
Either it's audio or it's generally sluggy from time to time
Doesn't get more than 18fps, no matter the settings. Unplayable.
No matter the settings, game doesn't achieve more than 18fps.
Works now completely fine with 6.3-8.
If you don't mind it crashing every so often, it works great.
Crashes every 30-45 minutes.
I wish there was a "Maybe" option for the enjoyable experience question
Seems to crash every 30 minutes to an hour. Luckily, it does autosave periodically.

7.0rc2-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Glorious Eggroll Proton-7.0rc2-GE-1
Much better experience than on Proton Experimental, but some, minor choppiness is still there.
Proton-6.21-GE-2
It works fine, but crashes for some reason after playing for some time

Proton-6.21-GE-2 (GloriousEggroll) GloriousEggroll
Works out of the box
I don't have any performance issues at all. It runs at 60 FPS, even in late game.
However, there is an option called On-Demand Rendering
, when you enable that, it will drop the FPS to 30 until you disable it end restart the game. I assume this is might be what is causing the low performance for some of the older reports.

Works but too slow
Even with reduced settings it shows abad response time
Bad performance even on high end PC.
Bad performance in comparison with Windows. 50 FPS at the beginning, but drops to 18 FPS as soon as you try to move your viewpoint or zoom out even a little.
Game starts out smooth and with 60fps, but gets progressively slower, more stuttery and fps drop to 1 over the course of 15minutes.
Game starts out smooth and with 60fps, but gets progressively slower, more stuttery and fps drop to 1 over the course of 15minutes. Saving and restarting fixes it.
Tried disabling esync and fsync.
I get about 15 FPS.
Tried various Proton versions from 5.0.10 up to 6.20-1-ge with fsync/esync on and off with no impact. Get about 15FPS on the main menu.
Game works great after setting game to use Proton 5.0-10
This is my second report of this game, this time I'm using ElementaryOS 6.
Initially the game would not launch and I had to roll back the proton compatibility down to 5.0-10 in order for it to work, when I did that the game works flawlessly, no issues and runs like native :)
Currently running this game on Proton 6.3-6 and it works perfectly right out the box, no tweaking needed at all.
Game works fantastic, I did however get a weird glitch white Alt+Tabbing my way out the game where I couldn't get back into it. That being said it could have been my OS and not related to the game. Overall I'd give this game a 10/10 in terms of Proton compatibility.

Game initially would not load properly, freezing at multiple stages. Use proton 5.13 and works as if native. Anything later did not work.
Use Proton 5.13.
I spent my lunch break playing it on my Notebook. No Issues was fun.
disable FSYNC and then there are no more crashes.
PROTON_NO_FSYNC=1 %command%
game freezing after 15 -30 minutes
Performance issue
Framerate not more than 15 FPS
Disabling FSYNC fixed frequent crashing for me. I managed to get almost 3h of stable gameplay without a crash. It seems to also have reduced some of lag that I was experiencing when voice line was being loaded.

Doesn't start at all, just "runs" for a few seconds then stops.
I've tried Proton-6.1-GE-1, Proton 5.13-6; and various launch options like PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1, PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%, and PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 to no avail.
Can't enjoy a game that is consistently crashing.
Game crashes around every hour. I still have a lot of RAM to spare and a lot of processing and graphic power to spare. The settings fail to save and Your game state is lost.
Works out of the box, no issues at all
People here say it works great, I can't enjoy it. :(
Unable to reproduce, but game grinds to a halt. Must force quit to close.
Under regular Proton, mouse cannot place buildings. Fixed by using Glorious Eggroll, which leads to crash.
