If running with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 then some textures are missing and game is not very playable. Instead the game should work fine through DXVK, but Proton version might be selected manually - for example Proton 10 Experimental broke DXVK, switching back to Proton 10 stable or Proton 9 fixed the issue.
Runs great OoTB!

Works perfect out of the box
Install, play, have fun :)

At first I was worried because the game would just hang and then I downgraded to proton 7.0-6 and it's worked flawslessly. With all of the other reviews I am seeing I am wondering if I even need to downgrade the proton version but I did it based on another review and it working now so I don't want to mess with it too much.

Works well
Faultless straight out the box

By default it will not let you launch it, you need to either force a compatibility tool or set it in settings for all other Windows games. Runs just as well as on Windows
The games launches and plays but due to lacking textures on the planet it looks horrendous to the point where it is no longer enjoyable.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Crackling through out the entire game. Minor, bearable.
The planet is missing textures in the default map-mode.
Seeing as it launches solely with the enforced WINE3D setting I assume that is where the problem lies. Mine default wine-stable installation from AUR community seems to be missing something that allows the correct texture to be loaded.
I do not have the solution but my guess and tip would be looking into winetricks, I assume solution can be found with it.
Full playthrough including all DLCs up to the 'Home' DLC.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
sometimes when zooming in and out a few artifacts apear
Game is fun, steam deck controls makes it easy it is not designed for smaller screens, so things were a bit pixilated, but good overall
text was a little pixelated
Running fine so far, after fixing drive problem.
Make sure to NOT install on a NTFS drive, it will NOT start installed on a NFTS drive!
Game is not starting on any Proton version
the resolution have changed when I changed the keys binding
Finished game without issues
Upon launch the game from Steam, it tries to launch, "Could not switch to requested monitor resultion"
I have looked around for various solutions for this and the only time it did seem to work was when I set a lauch command: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% but when it eventually runs I get the menu etc but in game there are no textures for the planet. help here would be apreciated greatly thanks in advance.
Works fine with Proton 7.0-2, does not launch with GE.
Best gaming experience with Trackpoint control
Runs great out of the box with standard Proton
Great sci-reality game
There was a really strange bug where it won't run on Experimental or GE, but 7.01 worked fine out of the box with no launch instructions
Works perfectly fine
Works perfectly out of the box.
Works great out of the box
Played through the entire game without a problem.
Works perfectly out of the box.
Works without any issues.

7.0rc2-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Crashes while saving about 20% of time.
I had to install the amdgpu drivers (instead of just using the default ones) to make this work. Otherwise it froze on startup.
Proton-6.19-GE-2
Runs Perfectly
Game hangs on load, tried different proton versions, all had the same result.
The frame reta drop to near 0. Impossible to play after few minutes and buildins created
Runs perfectly with no issues
