No issues
A delightful little RTS with overarching Mage powers that works flawlessly with Proton 9.0-4

Switch to Wine-GE-Proton7-43
There are some areas where the text is small, this can he changed in game but it is still not good enough
There may some rare occasions where the game freezes
Works perfectly fine. I played the tutorial.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%
Ocasional crashes after 30 minutes or more of game (fixed with disabe Esync => "PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%")
Started up ran a match start to finish no issues.

PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command%

But only if the esync leak is fixed (which I'm sure was not present in earlier versions of the game)
I believe there's an esync leak with this game, and I'm not sure if this can be fixed in the game itself or if it needs to be addressed in Proton: https://github.com/zfigura/wine/blob/esync/README.esync
524288 file descriptors is the default maximum per process on my system (Arch), which was only enough to play for around 20 minutes before the game is terminated automatically
I doubled this to 1048576 and get roughly double the play time, and now I have doubled this again to 2097152

GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread (Proton 5.0-9 and 4.11-13)
Not sure what changed recently-ish (last month or so), but all of sudden I can't play this game anymore, may have been an OS update, maybe a game update?
Anyhow, I now get a black screen instead of the menu screen, and then this popup error appears:
The UE4-Driftland Game has crash... LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\Build+UE4\Release-4.16+Compile\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\private\RenderingThread.cpp] [Line: 981] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 30.00 secs
Works perfectly well

Other than the full screen issue, works perfect.
Full screen not fully full... Borderless Window worked just fine.
Works perfectly fine and with good performance.
Runs out of the box
As all other games, install Feral gamemode
https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode
and use "gamemoderun %command%" for better performance.
4th human mission isn't completable, this may be a cross-platform issue as it was previously reported on Windows.

Installation/initialization is a bit long, but succeeds eventually.

Disabling D3d11 and stuff doesn't help. Game doesn't even start.

Tried to launch without any tweaks, instantly crashed to desktop.
Disabled D3d11 in launch options then the game actually started but got a fatal crash within 1 minute of playing.

Riftland runs pretty well, but there is a bug with the cursor. When moving it over something that should open up a tooltip, the cursor's size increase like x10, sometimes hiding the text being it. Not a big deal, but still annoying from time to time.
