Trailer at the end for the phantom pain had severe audio crackling

Game works great out-of-box. Made simple tweak for native controller support and made changes for better battery life.
Played with a very solid 60FPS (only occassional dips) for several hours on a Steam Deck OLED with these settings:
- Frame Limit: 60Hz
- TDP Limit: 8 Watts
- Manual GPU Clock: 1200 MHz
Audio in final cutscene is totally borked, but luckily it's short and nothing vital is said.
This game does, in fact, have controller support and the default configuration even works perfectly. For some reason, the game defaults the Steam Deck Controller to the 3rd slot. Open the Quick Access Menu, select "Rearrange controller order", and ensure the Steam Deck Controller (Or whatever controller you want to use) is set to 1.

Runs well, minor issues
Certain model polygons would be stretched, resulting in somewhat long rectangles that go through objects.
Sometimes, but not always, my inputs would lag behind, and they will be "queued" up, so I would have to stop moving, wait for Solid Snake to stop moving around and then continue.
Final (post-credit) scene was unwatchably slow and audio was choppy. As far as I can tell, it was entirely "rendering" on a single CPU core, which just couldn't keep up. Skip it (Esc) and then watch it on YouTube.
I've tried different newer Proton versions, the recommended (6.3-8) was the only one that worked. All others resulted in completely broken (black) shading/lighting. I also played on beta1005 but that didn't seem to make a difference with the "release" version.

Runs great at a consistent 60fps with default settings (may go down into the 50s at some points but not a lot)
Reduced gyro sensibility
Once you beat the main mission and collect the XOF patches, a video plays, this video has distorted audio. Otherwise audio is normal.
This game does not support controllers, you'll need a community layout to map the mouse and keyboard buttons to the Steam Deck controller. And even then, expect a lot of issues with certain keys not working properly (for example, one of the WASD keys being pressed indefinitely, forcing me to do several spins of the stick to fix it).
The main issue is the lack of controller support, if you're able to play this with a mouse and keyboard, it would be recommended.
Audio was bad only in final video of main mission, after credits (for phantom pain traler'ish). Overall audio is good.
45 FPS

at the end of the game a cutscene shows that just has crackling audio
runs great but the issue of the end cutscene having audio problems was weird

The game worked perfectly fine up until the last video cutscene, I had to switch to GE in order for it to work, and it played way too fast. you will have to finish that cutscene in order to unlock the extra ops

no tinkering needed

Medium or low graphics works.
When moving the player it randomly moves direction, when circling the analog might fix it. changing the layout didn't helped either. seems like the game problem.
Overall it's a fun game

Cutscenes worked too.

used to work but after redownloading game it no longer works. i think my save is corrupted or wont load properly
tried every verson of proton including ge and tkg
so close to finishing...
Final cinematic advertising Phantom pain did not play correctly
Just worked---OOTB
The audio in the ending cutscene was distorted, but that was it.

Works perfectly out of the box with no tinkering
The final cutscene that advertises TPP did not play. However, all critical story cutscenes played fine.

Alt-Tab didnt work even in borderless fullscreen mode.
Oversensitivity in optics effect is lessened by turning down sensitivity setting.
Game works on Deck but cutscenes do not play properly, leaving you unable to watch the ending.
FMV cutscenes do not work properly, leaving you unable to watch the ending.
Perfect!
Doesn't play. I click play button, after it synchronized to steam cloud, it will stop nothing will happen.

Runnig perfect out of the box
Finished game without issues
The final cutscene after the credits was unwatchable. 0.5fps. Everything else worked without a hitch
Slight input lag and stuttering
The movie file at the end of the main mission finally plays, but it's extremely choppy.
Worked out of the box

Vram is capped at ~2Gb. This results in lod switching and texture quality above MEDIUM will be seen as LOW.
To allow more vram usage you might need to create dxvk.conf
file in your game folder with dxgi.maxDeviceMemory
set to preferred Mb amount,
e.g.
echo "dxgi.maxDeviceMemory=4096" > ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Metal\ Gear\ Solid\ Ground\ Zeroes/
Mouse unavailable in menu
Playable game, runs out of the box on Fedora 35 in Steam over Flatpak

Great performance.
It lags a lot when showing the trailer for Phantom Pain that is shown after the credits, but you can just skip it.

data_00.g0s has to be renamed to data_00.g0s.bak for the game to go back to main menu after the credits
the game crash after the main mission completed, right after the credits and the TPP advertising. So the side missions are not unlocked
Perfect experience! Played quite a bit w/ a Xbox 360 controller w/ no issues at all.

It works beautifully. You might need to use a custom Proton (in my case Glorious Eggroll), because 6.3 does not work.
Keyboard + mouse support for this game is garbage (or this is a Proton bug?) Anyway - controller is REQUIRED.
Interacting with helicopters always sets this off
When using binoculars, the mouse sensitivity went really high making it hard to control with no way to change it.
Occasional stuttering
