Cloud save didn't load initially. Had to move the save file manually. After that it worked fine.

Works great even in late game stages over level 100 and beyond. Multiplayer is lag free as well.
Game has a cloud save function that requires users to overwrite their stored save. This is not unique to Linux it's just how the game is so remember to maually save with the cloud icon.
Works great out of the box.

Perfect on both Linux and Steam Deck
The game runs perfectly on desktop Linux and Steam Deck

it works fine, havent found any issues so far

Keyboard needs to be brought up manually
No controller support that I could find, but plays good with the trackpads. Need to bring up the keyboard with the Steam+X shortcut though

Plays perfectly on steam deck, I encountered no issues while playing.
Game tried starting, but crashed on the Ninja Kiwi splash with "Bloons TD 5 has encountered an error"
rip game
Game crashes on startup
This game didn't work for on the proton experimantal, proton 6.3-8 or Proton 7.0-6.

Good old Bloons TD 5
This game worked right out of the box with steams recommended version of Proton at the time of writing (7.0.6). I also tested the game using the latest version of Proton GE at the time of writing (7.47) and encounted zero issues there.
Ninja Kiwi still does regular maintenace on the game so the servers are still up and fully supported; so your co-op game will be as good as your wifi strength.
You can use your touch pad or touch the screen to drag and place your towers just the same as you would drag the towers with your mouse on pc. The game plays as fast and smooth on the steam deck as it would on the computer, and the multiplayer and cloud save settings function as intended, so you can transfer your pc progress to your deck and vice versa, as well as enjoying multiplayer provided your wifi is good.
Perfect out of the box, if you don't mind missing data.
All of my data was just gone when I first installed it.
First time I launched the game, I had infinite uses of the daily chest? I managed to open it 78 times. Has not occured again, yet.
The de-sync was BAD. On my friends screen, they were at wave 68, while I was still on wave 65. Also, multiple times on my screen the bloons would get to the exit but no lives would be lost and nothing would happen.
Runs perfectly, no issues at all.
Only Shift + Tab for steamoverlay doesn't work
Good experience
Good experience
Refresh Rate is limited to 60 Hz and can be changed in the executable by changing the hex line: 11 11 91 3F to C7 71 7C 3F in an Hex editor
works perfectly (almost)

The game works perfectly for me with Proton 5.13-5.
It crashes every 6 minutes.
Game crashes like clockwork every 6 minutes. Tried the suggestions from this post (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/937#issuecomment-752813912), but they didn't help.
Runs Like Native.

Works fine while you only play up to levels given in tasks, i.e. 50 for easy, etc.
Play after level 100 freezes when there is a lot of particles and artifacts on screen at the same time
If you play beyond task level limits (free play), game gets slower in responses, freezes, cpu usage goes up significantly as in free play bloons appear more often and in larger quantities
Game ran perfectly on the newest version of proton.
Works out of the box.
Works perfectly.
Worked great out of the box. Default settings. I didn't test audio. I have this game muted, because I watch movies while playing.

No noticeable performance issues, no tweaks necessary. Have done multiple 100+ wave games with no issues.

I didn't have to do anything but click play, and the game launched. I'm still playing and I've run a map on wave 90 without feeling lags or noticing any difference from the windows games I'd played before.

Update to my initial Bronze rating. After the tweak mentioned a little farther down, and also updating my graphics driver, the game runs perfectly.

It just works, fullscreen and sound with no tweaks needed

Out of the box game crashed after exactly 6 minutes, in order to fix that i needed to add "* hard nofile 1048576" into /etc/security/limits.conf and relog into my session, after that game ran perfectly.

Runs perfectly. I see no difference from running it natively on Windows 10
