Used default controller settings, right trackpad as mouse, guessed buttons, only played first section. While text was readable (with glasses) it's small.
The game works across the line as intended after switching to an older Proton version 4.11-13. A Frozenbyte classic.

Menus cannot be navigated with a controller. Either use Steam Deck controls as kb+m emulation and play that way ; or switch to gamepad and use a secondary controller with kb+m emulation for menu navigation.
Some rebinding of controls is necessary to match specific controllers layout.
Out of the box, the main menu background and also prerendered cutscenes show up as colored bars instead (like a NTSC test pattern). Using GE-Proton7-10 fixes that.

Intro cutscene did not play
Tried to fix the movies. First tried what I did for sf4 which involved these steps:
- Install "quartz" and "devenum" using winetricks or protontricks.
- Install K-Lite_Codec_Pack the basic version, use options "Advanced" and uncheck "show tray icon" there are 2 checkboxes (if you dont do this, the game will be minimized when a video is showing)
The above didn't work so I did the following:
Installed media foundation and windows media player 11 via protontricks. (media foundation is listed as mf and windows media player as wmp11) Also installed xvid(probably not needed)
The videos worked perfectly after this. (sound lined up with the subtitles)
Followed the recommendations here to manually adjust the config so I could run in windowed mode. Worked fine after that
No issues aside from missing intro cutscene. Managed to finish the game without a problem.
No intro cutscene, subs are there, but no video or sound. It can be watched on youtube, it's prolly only cutscene that doesn't work.
No issues detected.
Requires editing config for widescreen resolutions. Camera can turn randomly as you shoot.
