Game works perfectly on Linux, which it has for several months now. Wonderful game, hope to see more content!
Works great! Modding is awesome too!
Game works perfectly, even multiplayer without any issues
works just fine, as if it were played on windows

With the settings I give you you will be able to play at a fairly stable 60 fps, not going below 50 in loadings
Resolution scale to 85 if everything is on low and disabled if possible. 75 if everything is on low.
With these settings, you'll play at 55-60 fps in most situations while still enjoying beautiful animations. I should point out that I play without antialiasing because I find the textures more colorful and less blurry.
With the protons I tried the game runs extremely poorly and in poor quality.
gamemoderun SteamDeck=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dsound.dll=n,b"
Online mode does not work.
File conflict

No difference to playing on windows, game is capped at 60fps. Some major stuttering in menus but had same issue on windows.

Runs better on linux than on windows and i play on the high preset on linux, used to play on medium with some lower aspects
Aside from changing to proton experimental (which i do anyway for all my steam games, except for a few) everything worked out of the box
Works out of the box

To play this game on a stable frame rate on Steam deack you will need to edit a INI file located in. /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1790600/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/SparkingZERO/Saved/Config/Windows/
add the following text to the Engine.ini to get the game to run better with no slowdown. [/script/engine.engine] FixedFrameRate=40
[SystemSettings] bUseFixedFrameRate=True bSmoothFrameRate=False FixedFrameRate=40 FrameRateLimit=40
after doing the above fixes. The game will run great at Medium setting and even with the new update will work for online play.

gamescope -W 5120 -H 1440 -r 240 -o 240 --force-grab-cursor -f --hdr-enabled -- %command%
I use gamescope to use HDR on my system, game works without it. Online mode was recently fixed, which was the only portion broken for linux since launch. Hopefully the devs let us keep playing online now that they've opened the gates.

Some low-quality textures (probably something I haven't changed yet)
Works flawlessly in all of its modes. Launch it on experimental to ensure compatibility and a great experience

If you're having issues, specificially with multiplayer, try running it under Proton Experimental
Works pretty much as you'd expect it tol. Multiplayer works as of the most recent server update with no changes necessary.

Dialed back graphics settings.
Stuttering/frame skipping. Lowering graphics settings alleviated this.

Update on the last report: as of now with the latest update of the game, online is now fully functioning.

Since the release of the patch from december 20th I was able to play online through out the match without fail and every other match forward. Both offline and online are now playable.

No working online might turn away some but 40fps SinglePlayer with mods is the perfect BT4 for me.
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dsound.dll=n,b" %command%
The game will masively slow down when playing under 60fps IF you don't use the Engine.ini fix. Once you apply the fix, playing with all graphic settings on low-med with 80~ resolution will get you 40fps~. Could get much higher if your willing to sacrifice visuals.
Sometimes when clicking on something in the menu, the game will softlock and require a restart. It's pretty uncommon from my experience tho.
The Launch Option is only needed for Mods and is completely useless otherwise.

gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Online play doesn't work at all
Game runs perfect if you don't mind only playing singleplayer/local multiplayer
Offline modes run great, I tried custom battles, like the player made fights, and it run just fine, I haven't tried PvP
gamemoderun %command%

Online not supported
So, as far as offline gameplay it works perfectly, but any online matches gets canceled on the begining of the fight

Online not available, but more than playable
Maybe due to anticheat, online matches crash.
However the game is perfect, I have it both on my Arch and Windows partition and it actually works better on Arch.

Cannot play online
Buy it only if all you care about is the campaign and local multiplayer

Online doesn't work

Runs without issues under EndeavourOS. Singleplayer works great. Multiplayer timed out the second a match started,
Returning to Linux after some time, I had a bit of a hassle getting Sparking! Zero running and found that it works without any tinkering under Arch (EndeavourOS in my case).
Singleplayer all works great. There was some slight framedrops upon first hitting the main menu but everything sped up to normal speed after about 10 seconds.
From a quick glance at the leaderboard which had a #1 ranked player with only ~200 wins (odd for such a popular game) and the lack of lobbies, I'm wondering if Linux players are only able to find other Linux players which some reports seem to hint at that but nothing is outright confirmed it seems. Interestingly, all of the matchmaking functionally does work such as the entire lobby system and leaderboards. Perhaps there is some check that executes at the very start of a match that can be resolved one day.
Personally, I only intend to play solo so the lack of multiplayer is no trouble for me.
For those using Ubuntu-based distros and Fedora-based distros, I tried a bunch of different variants and they all gave me trouble with launching. The game would instantly exit, not even rendering a window although it would seemingly all boot up fine with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
being required to get the game to launch. This seems to be quite hit or miss depending on your setup though as I can't find any obvious patterns from the various reports in ProtonDB.

gamemoderun %command%
Online match disconnect when playing non-linux users
The game will disconnect when playing users that are not on Linux making online modes effectively broken.

gamemoderun %command%
Upon further testing, everything about online works until you actually begin loading into a match. From there you're booted back to the lobby.
The game does actually let you search for online matches. You can find an opponent, and select your character. But upon actually loading into the match, you're booted to the lobby with a connectivity error.
Sadly, Multiplayer doesnt work unless you're playing against another Linux player.

-dx11 DXVK_ASYNC=1
Online does not work unless you are playing against another person using Linux
My game didn't launch without the -dx11 flag and I was experiencing stuttering until I added DXVK_ASYNC=1.
Runs perfectly with Proton GE. Online doesn't work but as far as I know, it's not a Linux problem.

Runs OOB without launch args, story works, online works. So far performance parity with Windows 11 24H2
gamemoderun %command%
Haven't tested with official proton. Try GE-Proton if you're having issues.
Worked OOTB, did not test online but I assume it will not work per other peoples reports.

Runs perfect, out of the box.

Works great out of the box. No Online muliplayer
Online play disconnects immediately. Everything else is flawless

-dx11
JUst set -dx11 in launch options if not booting worked for me. BEaring in mind I am a linux noob so maybe there is something I should be doing to get the default graphics api working but whatever.
I will remove this and re-add if I find anything else not working etc.
