Runs very well
Works perfectly, sound bug in bonnet cam from 2 years ago is now fixed.

Low settings nessesary
It just works Running DX12

I just use Proton GE 9-2 and I didn't need to change anything in the config files. It just works.

change to DX11 as DX12 can get unstable even on Windows

RADV_PERFTEST=gpl gamemoderun %command%
DirectX 12 works but performance on DirectX 11 is better.

Works well
Did not test with a wheel.

If you can make a few settings to use DX11, the game runs well and single player is great
Created the config file is located at: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1462810/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/WRC10/UserSettings.cfg
Value to set: Engine.Device.DirectXVersion = 11;
Had to modify graphical as textures on Window in 'in-car' view was blocky, or switch to alternate view
Thanks to MotorHead for the tip to tweak

Custom Proton: GE, Changed configuration Set DirectX version to 11, since DX12 causes game crashes and launch problems.
The config file is located at: ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1462810/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/WRC10/UserSettings.cfg
Value to set: Engine.Device.DirectXVersion = 11;
There was not file usersettings.cfg so I have made one as txt then rename as UserSettings.cfg and then I type when opened this value above.
Crashed often until switching to dx11 via menu
Runs smooth with about 40 fps on deck with medium settings
Random hitching
No multiplayer functions worked at all.
Cannot connect to or even host a game online
single player worked mostly okay but with random hitches that got better the longer I played. However multyplayer dose not work at all.

Installed the game and played for one hour without any issues and great performance with a PS4 controller.
Since this game is rated as silver, I thougt some might be interessted, that (at least on my system) the games installs and plays absolutely perfectly. The performance ist great as well with at least 100 FPS @1440p on highest settings. Alt-Tabin works without issues. I didn't try multiplayer so far. There was no tinkering necessary. I'm just using the latest mesa drivers from kisak PPA and Proton experimental.
The game seems to be set to DX12 by default. This may cause launch issues or crashes when loading into gameplay.

Seems to work fine with Proton 7.04 and up, as well as experimental, when set to DX11. However, the framerate does not feel as smooth as expected. This is fixed by using GE-Proton.
Refresh rate was locked to 60hz on full screen
Controller is now fixed! Playing OK on AMD APU lappy at med settings 800p 30 FPS. Only 1 small bug: in bonnet cam, engine audio is crippled.
All audio is OK except specifically in bonnet cam the engine sounds like a barely audible cat meowing.
Borked, sticks at 14% loading crashes pc from there, tried proton GE and stuff same result
Works out of the box, no performance issues, wheels supported.
Fans of the genre know this. WRC's sound system is a lot worse than Dirt Rally 2.0 and this title is no exception. Things sound very hollow. Not related to playing on Linux though.
72~ FPS at 1440p with High-to-medium Settings
Logitech G29 worked without issue and did not require any tinkering.

The start screen will show up, do its slow zoom in animation for 2 seconds (without accepting any inputs) and then crash in such a way where shutting off the Steam Deck is the only way to escape. It will also reboot by itself after 30 or so seconds. Attempted starting with Proton 7.0.2, 6.3.8 and experimental, same result every time.
STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG="" %command%
install protontricks via apt then run command:
protontricks 1462810 winecfg
set win7 as default in the protontricks GUI
Solved by launch option STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG="" %command%
After setting win7 and getting gamepad working with lauch_option, also set dx11 using WRC10 options , then gameplay is very good and stable ( after 2 hours ) .

STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG="" %command%
My Xbox One Controller (connected through Bluetooth) wouldn't get detected before a recent update of Proton. Adding the above mentioned launch options fixed it for me.
Feels like it runs a bit worse on Linux than on Windows. Haven't really tested this though.
Would run amazingly if it detected Xbox One controller.
Xbox One controller not detected.
Works fine but doesn't detect Xbox One Elite pad
Xbox One Controller not detected with Proton GE, Experimental and 6.3-8
windowed fullscreen seems to work best
for the controller to be recognized you need update proton experimental and add this command launch options: " STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG="" %command% "
With only keyboard working probably not a fun time tested proton GE, Experimental and a few others no controllers and no foecefeedback
Unable to get xbox or steam controller working, on proton GE was able to get logitech G29 working but no forcefeedback

6.15-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Used proton 6.15-GE-2, ran protontricks 1462810 winecfg, set windows to 7, and then added WINEDLLOVERRIDES=”xinput1_3=b” %command% to the command launch options as suggested by ShootinPutin
use bordeless full window, the other method doesn't work properly.
Xbox One controller not detected, it worked using the workaround proposed by ShootinPutin. Problem is that, this workaround doesn't work on current 6.3-8 proton nor proton experimental, so I had to use proton 6.15-GE-2.
switch to DirectX11, DirectX12 is just too slow.
Running incredibly well, just doesn't detect Xbox controller.
Xbox One wired controller not detected.
Yes excluding the controller issue, if they are using a wheel this shouldn't be an issue because those do not use xinput
I was able to fix the controller detection issue through some tinkering. I am not sure exactly what I'm doing so do this at your own risk but I ended up getting an xbox controller working by:
(in step 1 replace username in {} brackets with your own, change 'Proton\ 6.3/' version number if different proton version shows up in that directory)
- run the game with this in the launch options WINEPREFIX=/home/{username}/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/284160/pfx/ /home/{username}/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ 6.3/dist/bin/wine64 winecfg;echo %command%
- set windows version to 7 in the wine window that pops up
- Remove the above launch options and replace with WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xinput1_3=b" %command%
- launch game and controller should work!
you also might need to remove xinput1_3.dll from '/steamapps/common/WRC 10 FIA World Rally Championship/UWP/' if the above doesn't do what you need

run only in windowed mode. full screen, had resolution bug.
glitch
xbox 360 controller
Using Proton Experimental, it runs well. I've played 2min because my Xbox 360 controller isn't detected
Works out of box with proton-experimental
Logitech G920 FFB works great with latest experimental proton. Used DX11 mode cause DX12 was half the performance on DX11 for me.

The game don't start and shows a crash report app
After press play the game don't work and goes to a crash report dialog.
