Upon pressing alt+tab, the game will constantly scroll to the bottom left corner for some reason in any map. Restarting game seems to fix it, just don't alt+tab.
Game ran perfectly. Judging by the online reports, it runs better through proton than native windows.
slight audio crackle (exists on windows too) but i couldn't notice it many times npc are muted for some reason so you have to read (not a problem for me, as i have to read anyway) game is running basically native
Game ran perfectly out of the box since febuary 7th deluxe release, Arch linux, kde wayland and latest proton (not experimental)
make sure to adjust your vm.max_map to 1000000 to prevent crashing. The game uses more memory than your system allows it, so if you adjsut it you won;'t get the fast travel crash anymore
Game is increbily fun
Not because of proton, some of the maps are just poorly optimized, i don't think they even are optimized, so you go down from 144 fps down to 12 for certain maps
game will crash, acts like it a gpu crash and it locks you your entire computer
just go into steamapps_-----compdata------393880----steam user folder under drive c------ and set the temp folder to access only
Do not use proton 5.13, only run the game with proton 5.0
do the fix in order to play online. both if you're on arch online does work with the fix, no idea why my review says nay
game has heavy gpu memory bleed. will freeze your system with less than 8gb vram occastionally
the maps are not optimized at all, not a linux issue as persistent on windows as well
maps not optimized and some servers just suck as they have poor frame rate caps
game does work either do the temp folder permission change to access only in steam apps compdata > steamuser>3998850>temp worked on ubuntu (build off of debian) doesn't work on arch this works on arch download some magic eac files from https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/files/4839724/easyanticheat_wine_x64.tar.gz and extract them in the compatda>399480>users>steamuser>application> etc. folder listing is included so no issue. just set the last folder permissions (and its files inside) to access only. otherwise this won't work. what's happening is, eac is detecting wine and refusing to work. eac doesn't want wine, its hardcoded to detect wine now, so ...... knock on wood
most servers right now are perfectly okay with new players, its even in the tite of the server. and most folks are really nice.
