Installed external Official Uncensor Patch
Game works flawlessly, but I did go to desktop mode in order to install the uncensor patch.
Changed what the default A,b,x,y and triggers did.
Playing feels very different without music, I don't think your typical gamer would enjoy the game this way.
Changed sensivity of the thumbsticks and button layout.
Mouse licks are innacurate so I had to resort to the thumbstick.
Game runs and plays but controls are innacurate and require tinkering and fine tunning, it is possible to play the game after you tinker, fine tune and get used to teh controls.
But your typical gamer would not want to deal with this in my opinion.
Game works flawlessly on the steam deck, but at 1280x800 on the steam deck screen, the text and menus are rather small.
Limited framerate and refresh to 45fps.
Text is overall too small on the steam deck screen to be confortable to play.
Knowing how the game works beforehand helps enjoy the game since you know the text and icons already and can more easily figure what the the tiny icons are/do.
Runs great on steam deck, with a minor graphical bug that happens when using the quick suspend/resume feature.
30fps limit
When using quick suspend/resume, after waking up steam deck from sleep there's Flickering on the ability icon.
I used the touch screen to play, it gets tiring to hold the steam deck with only my left hand for long periods, but it didn't bothered until I've hit the half hour mark. It also feels great to play when you are able to play with the deck lying on a table.
Create a new text file and add the following 3 lines:
dxgi.deferSurfaceCreation = True d3d9.deferSurfaceCreation = True d3d11.maxFeatureLevel = 9_3
Then rename the file to "dxvk.conf". Then just start the game and it should work, no launch options or compatibility options changed.
A previous report said the game works flawslessly with proton "Proton Hotfix", that wasn't the case for me.
Tinker solution by following this user's help: https://steamcommunity.com/app/791330/discussions/0/3882724699538063194/#c4133807993211383961
Can't authenticate with steam servers.
Authentication/login fails.
Requires online authentication too.
Because the game requires online authentication(Which doesn't work) for all modes except the "VS CPU" it's not possible to play the single player campaign.
In short you can only play Custom games vs the Ai, and because the online authentication fails on Proton:
- It is not possible to play the single player campaign.
- Points earned on "VS CPU" games aren't added to your game on your non-steam deck machine.
- Achievements do not unlock.
- No multiplayer of any kind.
Although Multiplayer was borked in older proton versions it now works.
Game takes a while to load, it gives a black screen for more than half a minute but it is expected, it has the same behaviour on Windows.
Game crashes on default Proton but works with ProtonGE. Graphical settings window doesn't display text.
Graphical setting configuration launch window does not display options, I managed to set my resolution blindly clicking on the space the resolution box was supposed to be.
Deleted libEGL.dll on the game's folder.
Game starts but displays a black screen, I know the game is running because you can hear the main menu music and if you preff up and down you can listen to the menu selection sounds.
Deleting libEGL.dll from the game folder fixed the issue, solution and discussion of the issue was found here:
Runs great, the only thing that might not give it verified is: Initial setup requires you to go through a configuration window outside the game(Steam gives you the option to choose nights or the configuration window when launching the game), which requires you to use the trackpad, also used the configuration to change the controls to gamepad. All this is a one time thing.
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%
Shows a Black screen, but the game is running because I can hear the msuic and sounds when trying to move the main menu selection.
Game works flawlessly out of the box, only issue I found is a temporary audio glitch, that fades after a couple of minutes, when you wake up the deck from quick suspend.
Noticed music is missing in lower city and the boss fight with town's noble.
I played with the adult content patch installed. I don't know how to fix the missing music which I noticed only in two parts of the game.
Ran perfectly but I did not try any kind of multiplayer either off-line or on-line.
Using Proton GE fixed this.
Doesn't log in to the MP services.
Needs GE-Proton7-24 to launch, otherwise it's tinkerless.
Custom Music doesn't work
Custom music is recognized but doesn't play. In-game it plays the default soundtrack.
