Had no issues playing with experimental version of proton. Game works same as on windows.
Seems like they implement some kind of anticheat paches.
PROTON_EAC_RUNTIME=/home/<user>/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime/
Works without any issue. And solves 500 error that i experience on steam when trying to play online.
Steam version currently has some issues, you can get to lobby with outher players, but when game starts, you will get desconnected from the host. Currently only working way of playing this on linux is buying another copy of a game from Epic Games. You have option to merge accounts with steam, so all your characters and unlocks can be shared between accounts, but for that you need to register behaviour account and link there your epic games account and steam account, and then click on dbd game and merge both accounts to transfer characters between each.
Follow this guide, it worked for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZMzbUP6FwQ
Game won't start with message "Failed to start anti-cheat"
I have installed everything including anti cheat tool via steam, but seems like its blocking the game from starting properly.
Amazing, works same as on Windows! Without any difference!
My recommendation to everyone! I bacame a pirate legend. So have quite enough of hours in game on Linux.
Amazing
( Evrima ) I can see server list, but EAC stops throws error, doesn't allow to join the server. While ( Legacy ) Works fine.
Does not work because of anticheat. While legacy works perfectly
I had to switch to window mode alt+enter then return back to full screen in order to be able to click the menu buttons and join the server. ( one time operation)
I had to lower everything to get this up and running. For comparisson path of titans works on high / epic settings on my machine.
Crashed once , i got disconnected from official server.
Make sure to install EAC through steam tools.
Just make sure to have Easy Anticheat installed via steam > tools before playing.
