Game crashes every time after the intro into Night City (about 30 minutes in). Before the intro it worked okay, can't get it to work past the intro, though. Always ends up with crash after loading.
It played kinda okay, given my hardware, but I can't get past the intro into Night City. The game freezes/crashes on the loading screen. Sometimes I get to see the very first frame after loading screen, but the game freezes then and there's nothing to do about it. Unplayable.

3D screens lag a bit, even though their quality is low. No problems during playing the actual game.
Proton-5.9-GE-4-ST https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/5.9-GE-4-ST
My last report was from Proton-5.9-GE-3-ST, but Proton-5.9-GE-4-ST solves all the problems I had then. Runs perfectly for me every time! Have a nice time playing!
Unplayable. Doesn't launch.
Proton versions I've tried: •Proton 4.11-13 •Proton 5.0-10 •Proton 5.13-4 •Proton-5.9-GE-4-ST •Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST •Proton-5.11-GE-1-MF (Even though it's said to run MK11 with slight audio issues) •Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF (Again, it's said to be able to run MK11 but it doesn't for me) •Proton-5.21-GE-1 Tested after [11/17/2020] Patch None of these work. Doesn't even launch with both Proton and GloriousEggroll Custom Proton versions listed.
6.4-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.4-GE-1 (doesn't even launch without GE, 6.4-GE-1 and 6.15-GE-2 worked the best for me) https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/6.4-GE-1
The audio in Story Mode begins playing okay but as the time goes on it's more and more out of sync until you realize it's up to 5 seconds out of sync. Sometimes it's cracking.
The game runs awfully, it's kinda okay if I use the lowest settings but then... Fatal Blows play at 5 fps AT BEST (typically less). Sometimes, very occasionally, Fatal Blows play just fine but it's a lottery and I don't really know why, tested with many kernels and Protons and nothing seems to change the odds of Fatal Blows working.
It's unplayable. I don't know why it has a gold on ProtonDB
Using Proton-6.12-GE-1 I was able to play as well as on Windows and it's the only Proton version that could play the Story Mode (any other would crash at the first QTE segment)
Doesn't work with Xeon processors, at least the older ones
Unfortunately the game didn't run for me, it would always crash after the "press any key" screen, on every Proton version. Later I found out that many people using Xeons have the same problem. Now, I don't really know if brand new Xeons can run it but my Xeons X5650 from 2010 definitely can't :/ bummer
For me it's unplayable just because of the audio. I've also noticed that the crackling begins when entering a different region on the map.
The audio starts crackling randomly (about a minute in the game) and it's very annoying, especially because when it starts it doesn't go away. It's not occasional crackling, but very "aggressive" (many times per second). It's unplayable for me just because of the audio.
I've also noticed that the crackling begins when entering a different region on the map. Lowering the settings doesn't change it, nor do any launch options I've tried. Tested with Proton 6.3-6 and some GEs.
The game runs perfectly, I've never had a single crash (even though some users have reported periodic crashes).
Proton-5.9-GE-4-ST GloriousEggroll
Proton 5.9-GE-4-ST (not 5.9-GE-8-ST, it doesn't work for me) https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/5.9-GE-4-ST
Even though it runs perfectly, it sometimes freezes at launch. I press start, the game appears to be running (at least that's what Steam says) but the window does not appear. It happens from time to time, can't tell why tho. My workaround is to run it once with a different Proton for a couple of seconds, stop the game, then change Proton back to 5.9-GE-4-ST, run it again and then it works flawlessly for many hours straight (without crashes or save problems). To sum it up; once it runs, it runs.
