The game seems to have controller support but the controller was not detected. I did not try and connect an external controller to see if that would work. I had to load up a community layout that was based on mouse and keyboard which was a lot different from the controls for the non-redux version of Ethan Carter. Also with the control scheme I had significant lag when controlling the mouse with the right joystick that I had to use the trackpad instead.
I just recommend playing the non-redux version of this game. The graphics look much better and overall the game just has controller support. I'm not sure what caused all of these issues.

Graphics are beautiful and smooth, but audio quality renders the game unplayable.
Audio starts fine for a couple of minutes and then gets severely degraded, ending up as unplayable due to the terrible audio. The volume is substantially quieter (even with identical settings) compared to the non-redux version. I have not been able to find a solution to this issue.

Tried switching to experimental proton
Non redux version of the game worked great for me instead.

Game runs smoothly on High settings, 10W TDP

45FPS/90Hz
Default/High settings, resolution scale 100%, frame rate unlimited, Disable motion blur, disable vsync, anti aliasing to SMAA T2x
Can't understand the negative reports

Frustrating because it's so close to perfect, but the fps drops are too distracting to ignore.
Some minor weirdness with directional audio.
There is something very weird with fire effects. They cause bad performance, which would be sort of okay if it was only when there was fire on screen, but this problem actually persists everywhere on the map if the camera is pointed in the direction of the flames, even if they're far away and not visible.
On low settings inside a room with nothing to see, I can get 400fps facing one direction, and 20fps facing the other direction where I know there are flames (far away, not visible).
When this happens it seems to bottleneck on the CPU, but that's about as much as I know. None of the common tweaks I'm familiar with seemed to work.

Subpar performance, changing graphic options don't seem to help that much, it's playable but prepare for heavy slowdowns on certain areas
some scenes it got as bad as 8fps for a consistent amount of time, it seems some fire/particle effects cause this
Fps drops all over the place no matter what I tried. Couldn't even keep a solid 30 with lowered res on the lowest graphic settings and FSR
40 hz / 40 fps cap
Using Proton-GE is required to have good performance. Otherwise it will be too slow!

Very bad crackling, happens within a minute and goes away when i reset the game,or simply open the menu and go back to playing
Some slowdowns in new areas
The game audio is very bad, very intense crackling,i've also had a bit of unexpected stutters, but that was fine and the game ran very well.
If you want to play the game without the audio,it's definitively playable.
Runs fine.
Sometime FPS drops
For me it's unplayable just because of the audio. I've also noticed that the crackling begins when entering a different region on the map.
The audio starts crackling randomly (about a minute in the game) and it's very annoying, especially because when it starts it doesn't go away. It's not occasional crackling, but very "aggressive" (many times per second). It's unplayable for me just because of the audio.
I've also noticed that the crackling begins when entering a different region on the map. Lowering the settings doesn't change it, nor do any launch options I've tried. Tested with Proton 6.3-6 and some GEs.
Finished story with some performance issues
Performance plunged when there were fire around. Down to 30-ish FPS from 100+
Runs without any issues.
Runs beautifully as expected.
Only some occasional FPS drops in large open areas. It did not get in the way of the overall experience.
Other than the FPS issues at some points it ran fine
The game would drop down to 15FPS in some parts of the map.
Good

Working well. No issues.
Very little glitches compared to run on Windows. Not impacting gaming comfort

There is a weird water sound in the main menu. And a bit lower FPS than Windows. Except these issues game worked well.

No Issues

Message saying "DX11 feature level 10.0 is required to run the engine."

Game is playable and works quite well but environmental sounds don't gradually come on or fade instead the sounds just appear and disappear as you step closer to them and move away from them. There is some minor occasional stuttering that also affects audio. Game has screen tearing when you move around despite having vsync switched on in game but this can be fixed by enabling force full composition in the nvidia x server settings.
Instructions to screen fix tearing:
Open nvidia x server settings, click x server display configuration then click advanced, tick force full composition pipeline, click apply then quit.

Works flowlessly

Minor problem with mixing audio streams (can't seem to control ambient vs speech vs music volume levels properly)
