With this version of Proton, you won't enjoy at all. Try 4.2.9 you will have a much better experience.
I have noticed black and white flickering and tearing which makes an unpleasant experience gameplay.
It seems like you need to turn down a little bit the settings to get 60+ FPS.
Works out of the box, great experience maybe a little bit of FPS spikes at the beginning of a map.
I entered into an empty game and a full game room my graphics were on the minimum. On the empty game room it was ok, generally speaking, it's playable but on my laptop, I experienced stuttering while walking. On the full game room, I experienced FPS drops a lot almost all the time. I suspect that my laptop just can't handle that game good enough but I could be wrong and maybe it is lagging for everyone. Beside that runs perfectly fine, no connection issues or crashes.
As said below me, no text at all, game is running fine but you can't progress without text... Tried Proton 3.16 no use.
EAC problem
I was able to launch into the loading screen only once and then the game crashed and never got launched again with a message "Failed to initialize BattlEye Service"
I don't really know a lot about this game but compare to Windows, same performance works perfectly out of the box.
Works out of the box. No problems at all. Great performance and game pad works flawlessly.
On Manjaro the game doesn't start up.
Black screen, and couldn't make it work.

The game crashes sometimes. For example: I press the 'E' key to order a taxi and the game crashed.
When you are inside a building the game speeds up and it's hard to aim when everything is moving fast.

Full screen makes the game to work really slow. You should go with fullscreen windowed
White screen up startup
When launching the game there is a white screen which it is functional however, you can't really tell on what you are clicking on.
Launcher shows for a brief moment then it disappears leaving the game hanging open. You have to close the process manually.

It starts but then hangs up and nothing is happening.
Weird black screen on the main menu but after clicking Multiplayer everything was ok. Entering to a server was great in general, however, there are couple issues for example, random weird minimizing the game when touching the autopilot (Could be only with a particular aircraft), when trying to zoom out it's zooming in for some reason and right-click menus are broken no text is shown. It's playable but not perfect at all.
Had few issues like FPS stability and main menu is black meaning you will have a hard time finding buttons.

If you are new to the game you will have a hard time finding where each button is placed since everything is black except the aircraft "3D" model which shows you how your aircraft look, other than that there was slight FPS issues but it is way more stable than the last version of Proton GE 5.8.
I don't know why I see a layout of a controller but as a player which never played this game I had a hard time to figure out how to play.
For some reason the game thinks that I'm on a controller. 'e' is named 'LT' 'r' is named 'RT' the key 'f' doesn't display at all and more unclear buttons that you don't know what are they doing. You need to to turn off "on-demand/dynamic download" so you won't stuck on infinite loading screen.
Runs poorly with FPS drops
From my last test using Proton 4.11-8, it was awful now in Proton 4.11-11 I had a great experience.
From my last test using Proton 4.11-8, it was awful now in Proton 4.11-11 I had a great experience playing the game with a steady 150-180 FPS with regular graphics.
Well, from my playtime I can tell you it works perfectly. Please pay attention to the problem:
- You can't Alt+Esc.
- When you are from full screen and minimized the game each time you will try to switch to a window, for example, the browser, then it will maximize your game for some reason.
- When you try doing things fast, for example, switching between tabs, opening the tech-tree then closing it immediately, the game will crash so take the time (Don't be too slow just don't rush too much). Other than that the game runs like a charm no problems at all just make sure you switch to Proton 3.16.
