Will eventually crash if I run it long enough - like over 7 hours. Likely it runs out of memory.
Works smoothly.
I don't have the Director's Cut version, but it looks like you can't find the original on Steam anymore.
Long loading times, but overall very smooth.
It took a long time to load the game after the main menu. Long enough that I thought it had frozen at first, about 1 minute of just black screen. Loading between transitions in general were longer than expected.
Proton 9.0-4
When it seemed like the game froze at one point, the mouse pointer was lagging but still moving. I was able to open the pause menu and change the graphics setting down to Low. It immediately began running smoothly again throughout the rest of the playthrough.
Works fine
Some lagging, especially when zoomed in with scope
It quit itself after processing Vulkan shaders, I relaunched, it installed DirectX, then opened in fullscreen as expected.
Game installs but won't launch. Sets up wine prefix and processes vulkan shaders, then gets stuck and quits.
I bought this game again through GOG and was able to play it using the Heroic Launcher. It must be a Steam thing.
Playable with reduced graphics settings; quiet but persistent static-y audio distortions would annoy typical gamer after long enough
Quiet background static
Some lagging when turning too fast. Reduced graphics to lowest settings and it smoothed out.
Very slow startup. Launches to fullscreen and goes black (with cursor) for about 30 seconds before logos come up.
Game launches to fullscreen mode then only shows white screen. Background & mouse event audio play when interacting with invisible menu.
I also tried with Proton Experimental and GE-Proton9-27. Same results.
