Unfocusing the game makes it go into offline mode

OOTB the game would run insanely bad, around 30fps to 20 in multiplayer, consistent freezes and stutter. I've tried the many given "fixes" with intel_pstate=disable, disabling e-cores, cpupower, none of that work.
Tho, it fixed by running first:
sudo usermod -aG gamemode $(whoami)
then before running the game, opening a terminal:
gamemoded -r
Now it runs smoothly except random stutters but I think it's the game's fault. It runs better here than on Windows.
runs OOB
sometimes the mouse cursor bugs out the controller's keys icons in fullscreen. It does not make the game unplayable for sure

Double start and essentially several "ghost" pop-ups during the login menu
Tried on GE-Proton10.6, the game would run up but it was practically a torture to get through the login menu, and after that it'd crash due ACE. Tried with GE-Proton10.7 and STEAMDECK=1 %command%, it'd still double boot, however it was kinda easy to go through the login menu and I could join the game, which runs smoothly.
