The game runs well. The window, as was the same with undertale, starts in a small window. I used (while focused) ALT+ENTER to fullscreen the window (using GNOME; largely not default settings, you'll have to see if this works for you).
The game is great & runs just as well as on Windows, according to reports. High specs (3060 OC+ / 5600) heavily recommended for smooth exp.

Game crashes when changing settings, usually the 3th or 4th time you save settings.
Significant, game-breaking bugs exist for both all platforms in this game. Do not expect a perfect experience, from my 60 hours currently at the game, I've encountered 4-5 game-breaking bugs (which is not bad, but not good either). To my knowledge, regular regressions happen regarding issues. N/A whether this is Linux specific, but I can't have any sort of normal experience when joining others. This is hit or miss, but 9 times out of 10, it'll be an unplayable experience when other people host.
Great game. Has anti-cheat though.
Testing done on the demo release, in June 2025, before release. Game ran well.
Works as expected -- no bugs present, the UE5 front-end is holding up great. Not the best performance on slightly below-average hardware.

required to run UE4SS (mods). Running with tens of mods, works as well as expected. Recommended if you have beefy hardware (tons of VRAM required! 8GB minimum!)
Couldn't launch with either Proton8-1 or Proton GE 8-1; earlier versions launcher the game but couldn't play cutscenes; however the specific version launched the game succesfully & played cutscenes.
