Proton does a very good job on this game, even considering the occasional crashes.
Pressing Alt-Tab would Alt-Tab out of the game, but nothing would allow interaction unless I go back into the game and select fullscreen-windowed mode.
Every once in a while, pressing play after selecting a training-mode would cause the game to freeze. I would have to kill the game and restart it. In addition, quitting the game by going to the main menu and clicking quit in the bottom-right corner and clicking yes when it asks if you are sure causes the game to freeze every time, without fail.
Game doesn't launch.
Depending on the version of proton used, the game will either crash instantly or say 'running' on steam indefinitely, but no window will ever open. I find this to be extremely strange behavior for a game coded in twine, something inherintly compatible with linux. Alas, they packaged the game inside an exe.
Gets Stuck On Loading Screen
I have played this game successfully in the past, but a recent update seems to have borked it. I have tried multiple versions of proton including all official versions along with all the GE versions I have installed. The only one that was even able to start the game was 6.20-GE-1 and even then it got stuck on the loading screen. Nothing will work, whether that be loading a save or starting a new game. Online play is off the table as battle eye doesn't allow proton so I can't check that, but I suspect the same result.
What happens for now is that when getting in the loading screen, everything seems normal. Dramatic music, loading bar moves a tiny bit. Then, at about 1/16 of the way into the loading bar, it will stop along with the music. Eventually I'll get a system message saying that Conan Exiles is not responding and asks if I want to wait or force quit. I have tried waiting for about 20 minutes to no avail.
Note: I am using no mods, launch options or other modifications to the game.
This game is Borked for now.
Using Proton-4.15-GE-1, I managed to get the launcher to finally open. It errored out when trying to sign in though. Progress!
Same stuff as before. EAC says it isn't running.
Saw the last update was awhile ago, so figured I'd post an update on it, even if nothing has changed.
Game works mostly out of the box. If I was certain this game would stay in this state, I'd even recommend Gold rating.

I noticed some strange audio behavior in certain situations. Where voicelines would only play in one side of my headset while other sounds like music and FX played as normal.
I had to rebind some of my controller manually, but that wasn't much of a problem. Contoller behaved as expected otherwise.
The real problem was that there is some innacuracy in the mouse, it will show you inputting a direction that is close but definitely not entirely right. It's enough to throw off your gameplay slightly, but not enough to lose you a game.
I had no issues connecting to online matches. However, I have a VPN, so take that into account. Though I don't know what affect that may have had.
I experienced a few lag spikes of 100-150~ but they were infrequent, 3 times in the 12 hours straight I played on Linux. But that could just as well be my VPN acting up.
I always play games with GE unless GE doesn't work. In which case I default to 6.3-8 and work from there. I didn't have that problem with this game, so I stuck with GE-Proton8-3.
Proton-6.1-GE-2 does a very good job with League of Maidens. Most linux users will be able to play this game and have fun doing so.

Sometimes A loud buzzing will happen. I still haven't figured out if it is part of the game or a problem with proton. I think it is still worth mentioning.
I believe my problem with the stability is a problem with my computer rather than the game itself.
The game turns my computer off without warning. There can be nothing going on at all or I can be doing the most mundane of things (like opening a crate) and all of a sudden, poof. The lights on my pc and headset turn off and the monitor stops receiving signal.
Can't click any interactable items on the screen after launch.
The last report on this game was 7 months ago, so I figured I'd have a quick go at it just to keep ProtonDB updated. The report is basically the same as it was for the report 7 months ago. Cannot interact with the gamma menu, but the game does launch fine.
Same as before
Last report was 6 motnhs ago, so I figured I'd do it again to keep it updated (again). Same problem as before, gamma menu on the first screen is non-interactable. Skyforge doesn't seem to use an Anticheat, so that isn't the problem. I even tried using a gamepad to see if I could move the gamma bar and/or submit the settings without keyboard/mouse, that didn't work either.
An update 6 days ago has caused SGWC to need EAC at all times. The game is now borked. Gets stuck at an EAC loading screen.
Further testing is recommended, possible launch without EAC? I couldn't get it to work, but I recommend looking into this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/973580/discussions/0/2576571096291650565/
