Switch to Proton Hotfix if you experience freezes

Screen freezes for about 30 seconds
When first entering the game or shortly after changing zones the game freezes for about 30 seconds. kernel.split_lock_mitigate = 0 only helps to a certain degree. This problem only happens on Intel CPUs. According to ProtonDB especially on 12th/13th/14th gen CPUs. This seems to be an Hyper-Threading issue. When disabling Intel Hyper-Threading in my BIOS settings, the problem seems to be fixed. The freezes also happen in Windows but not as much.

Never had any problems with elite on amd cards. Awesome game! If you play with an nvidia card, expect out of video memory crashes. Without switching to Proton Version 7.0.6 a black void will really consume your screen. I'm not experiencing any performance issues. Runs as smooth as on Windows for me.

camera gets inverted so you move in the opposite direction when you open the steam overlay
