i can say i run this game better in linux compared to windows given my limited hardware keep in mind i use an amd gpu with mesa aco

on lutris i also disabled ''enable Esync'' so for proton disabling it on the launch options will do the trick
on the proton side 10/10 is amazing what the proton team managed to pull
sometimes textures are slow to load
heavy load times for save games
considering my hardware the performance is all over the place

mostly plug and play for the steam related side(drivers are a big part on this tho)
when i was on windows i could do 60fps fhd on high details but now i can't but medium settings hold 120fps easy so i may think is the vram(4gb) the limiting factor for linux
since is the nature of the linux user to thinker with the software/hardware be aware that you may trigger a denuvo call back and lock your game for 24h
it works with the Proton-5.9-GE-7-ST(the latest to date) with a custom kernel focused on gaming if that helps
it is a bit slow to start but it is not a problem at all after all we are on linux
the game plays absolutelly perfect for a native port
gotta say this game is ABSOLUTELLY well voiced and it set a high bar on what dating sim/VN should/can be
on dual screens the game minimizes if you move the mouse out of the game
proton saves and native saves arent compatible with eachother
towards the endgame there will be a scandal with one of your idols that freezes the game when you chose an action you can bypass this by chosing an option waiting a bit then exit the game and load the latest auto save that should put you after the scandal
even with this game having a native linux port you better off with proton there is a load of bugs that make the game quite boring/frustrating
the performance is shit i never went over 50 fps with my set-up and i don't know why
it runs absolutely like shit and in some zones i seriously tank
all my stuff is up to date,i managed to play it on my vfio vm to compare and on my vm i got 60-20 fps on everything high while on linux no matter the options i tank hard
the game can tank a bit but otherwise perfect
i had an earlier report where the performance was absolutelly shit given my hardware but nowadays the game is almost perfect to play on proton experimental
idk if its me but native or proton the game takes time when changing scenarion or rolling back text which can be annoying considering you constantly do that

you need to have the (xbox with the dongle) controller already on and paired before launching the game otherwise it won't detect it
other users are having some problems with vanilla proton use the GE proton to avoid all problems and make it plug and play
on gnome fullscren if you press the overview key( the win logo) it turns the game on windowed mode
the game runs at full potential but the custcenes are capped at 60 fps
proton GE bypasses all the problems others users have(atleast for me)
you can hit monke with stick
my gpu really tanked in some areas wild fps range 40-100 i was playing max settings
those people on gnome will like this game it has an option to mute the music when put in the backround,the controller works perfectly(xbox elite v1 with the dongle and .xow)
