Works perfectly other than the very minor audio glitch.
very occasional crackle (noise) in conversations
Note that you have to quit Uplay (from the system tray) for steam to notice that you have stopped the game. Just quiting the game isn't enough.
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 %command% --skip-launcher
PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 is necessary to fix occasional audio crackle
Game won't start with latest Proton versions (hangs in initial loading screen). With Proton 4.2-9 it runs fine. With 4.11-13 it starts and runs but crashes frequently.
Regarding the freezes when entering an area for the first time: this also happens when running natively on windows, it's not a Proton problem.
Game doesn't launch
Steam thinks it's running, but nothing happens. Tried Proton Experimental, 6.3-8 and 5.13-6.
Mouse does not work in menus, but all necessary actions can be performed with keyboard navigation.
