I couldn't get the game to work with regular proton, but Proton GE made it work just fine on arch linux. Plays like a dream!

I tried to launch the game, and saw the opening credits, then the game crashed and left me with a crash report window.

I tried many different versions of proton, and they all had the same result.

You'll be missing out on matchmaking, but can still play with friends, and campaigns. Mild stuttering every so often. Still very playable.
Performance:Slight Performance Problems
Sometimes the game would slightly jitter every so often in the campaign. The game was still very much playable however.

An incredible experience even without VR and Multiplayer, but the options are still there. It's perfectly playable on Arch Linux

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
Freezing when sprinting or taking damage. It's tedious and ruins the flow of the game. Outside that it's perfectly functional.

Audio would freeze jarringly, this happens often

Whenever I lost health or stamina, the game would freeze briefly
