I get the Steam version of this game. After download it installs the Uplay and then launch the game, but it's necessary to disable the Uplay overlay in the Uplay settings. Close the uplay client. Then launch the game again (inside Steam) now the game will open. Inside the game go to options and set to borderless, adjust to your screen resolution and if your hardwares does, set the frame rate to 60 fps. And it's done, enjoy!
Game worked like a charm! Just hit play and enjoy this good game. (I've played the demo this time)

After receiving a new update from steam, the game now opens! But it won go further when you select to start the game or select the babel tower option. When you select to start a new story it enters on the loading page, but never end this loading page. Don't know yet how to solve this.
In HDD load times will be long. Runs on proton 6.3-5, but videos will be skipped. Proton-GE could fix this issue too.

Hi everyone. I have an important info to help others with this game. In my Machine I had to change the native cooler box of my Ryzen 5 2600 to a Cooler Master Model: HYPER H410R (a very cheaper coller) after this al instabilities that occurred playing this game have gone once and for all. This game makes a big use of the processor, my Radeon RX5700 XT runs fine at 1920p above 60FPS, but the CPU need this cooler upgrade to work well, after that, sound and overall stability is fine. Just use the ProtoGEv7 and go have fun!
Worked very well out of the box. No more actions needed than press the play button! Have a great experience!

System detect a outdated version of AMD driver (for windows I guess) during the startup of the game.
Used the Codeweavers version of Proton, startup advances, but it doesn't completes.
Easy fix, but details are important.
All terminal procedures MUST be made with your normal user, not root. If you already have the game installed and did some earlier tinkering,remove the previous prefix with this command: rm -rfv ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/221040
Then go to Steam in the RE6 game page and click in the gear icon (Manage) > properties > click on compatibility and mark the option "Force the use of specific Steam Play compatibility tool". With this option marked, you can now select the item named: "Proton 5.0-10" close this window and run the RE6 game until you confirm the first two options and get the black screen with only your mouse moving.
Now close the game and go back to terminal. I got some permission issues, so I did this: chmod 777 -R ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/221040/pfx/dosdevices/c:/windows/*
Now you can run this (if your wine/winetricks/protontricks is ready) PROTON_VERSION="Proton 5.0" protontricks 221040 -q wmp11 It will take some time, but now the job is done, have a great game!
