Good playablility, slightly lower fps than expected. Just use Proton Experimental and you should be fine.

Sometimes slight crackling, esp. when another audio source is present (i.E. browser)
Slightly lower fps than expected, but good playability (60-144).
Had severe problems using Proton 9.1 and older versions, Experimental or GE are working just fine.

tinkering only did minor improvements to an already well working game (slightly higher fps with gamemode and newer Proton installations)
300-100 fps with Proton 9 / 150-20 with Proton Experimental. Everything else are just minor inconveniences

Somehow screen overlaying features do not always work the intended way (pop-ups are small, or off-screen. Nothing game breaking though)
After switching from Experimental to 9.1 my savegame was gone.
Performance Issues with Proton Experimental, 9.1 works fine for me.
Like I said, use Proton 9. Experimental doesnt work that good. Especially when there is much going on, 30-20 fps aren't unusual.
