Flawless multiplayer, could connect easily to my friend via steam.
Launch option not technically required, but the launcher doesn't perform fantastically under proton, so I found it easier and quicker to skip it.
Mod Organizer 2 via Lutris
Games ran really slowly, as if it was running at 20 fps, even though steam and mangohud reported 60 fps.
Eventually found and installed the High FPS Physics Fix mod from the nexus mod manager. Installed with Mod Organizer 2, which can be installed via Lutris.
It detaches game speed from the frame rate, and also made my game run so much smoother. Other optimization mods/patches may also help.
Ran just fine with the latest proton, steam installed all the dependencies no problem.
Installed NBPack modpack to fix the game, returns original radio and some various improvements.
Game seems to have no fullscreen support yet, not the end of the world.
Unlike other reports, I did not need proton log enabled in the launch options, nor did I have any issues with save games. My save games seemed to get synced with the steam cloud perfectly fine.
Plug and play.
Intro cut scene did not display at all. Not missing much though.
