Limit Frame Rate to 30fps (runs at 60 no problem), Enable Half Rate Shading (some text becomes harder to read but I've played enough to know what things say)limit TDP to 8. I get about 5hrs of battery play with these settings.
The game does not need the settings to play by default, ALL of the changes I made was to maximite battery life as it is my go to game when I am on battery in the wild.
my changes was to get more frames.. but it does just work out the box and most console games would be able to live with the fps dip in base.
increased VRAM from 1GB to 4GB on Steam deck.
Locked at 40
Game starts to slow down after getting more light in your base.. I noticed after changing my VRAM from 1gb to 4gb and creatinga 16gb swap file that It stays pretty good at 30fps in base.... minor dips to 28 29... before it could dip into the low 20s high teens.
Made a Game Profile purly for battery performance. Limit Framerate to 40hz Enable Halfrate Shading TDP limit to 8 GPU Clock Freq 800
These settings seems to hold 40fps at high settings. I am still personally fine tuning havent had too many chances to play in a full lobby with alot going on.
Works exactly as expected. I can join people lobbies and people joined on me and ran into 0 issues.
Works perfect out of the box. any changes I've made is purly to squeeze out more play time on battery.
Gets past EAC but hangs at Lost Ark splash screen will hang there on the deck forever, does not display error message. When I close the application I can see an error flash too quickly too read.
Locked at 40FPS
Game crashed once, after restarting the game it loaded fine and I played for 5 hrs straight.
Wife and I played together for 5 hrs in the HUB and had zero issues.
Ran great, Game crashed once on my wife but she just restarted got back in and we played for hours. I personally didn't try to just run the game without forcing comptability simply because the demo does not run without having to do that.
Some text is a little small but managable.
Works great now. No need for Micro SD card trick anymore install straight to SSD fine.
Game launches to a black screen and does nothing. If press the touch screen the opening video starts playing...when I release it stops. Tried launching game from desktop mode to try the Alt-Tab trick and it does not work... when I alt tab to another thing like a program the game will be in the background playing like normal but when I alt tab back and bring the game back up to the front it pauses again.
Requires an easy enough work around but the typical gamer probably wouldn't figure that out without some research
When you first launch the game the resolution is wrong and you kind of have to guess or know where the setting is to adjust the resolution, once adjusted its fine.
Game starts in a paused state... You have to click on the screen and click the "steam" button on your deck to bring up the steam menu and you can release your press on the screen and hit the "steam" button again to get back into the game and the game will contiue running as normal. If you click on the screen again the video will pause again and you will have to repeat the above process.
