Requires Proton GE 7.20, 32-bit mode, and multiple launch-attempts to get working. Otherwise great.
Steamdeck/general Linux users may also want to follow this guide I've updated as of Oct 2023 https://github.com/TDuffinNTU/Assetto-Corsa-on-SteamDeck/tree/patch-1
Thank you EA for destroying your old games, very cool!

set graphics to low, render scaling to 75% and limit to 50fps for a smooth n fun experience !
Followed setup of other users mentioned here. Installed Proton Easy Anticheat runtime via Steam Library interface.
Logging into Epic Games requires a bluetooth keyboard (I think!) as Steam keyboard overlay wouldn't show up. This could be because I was launching in desktop mode.
A little small. I can see it find but people who struggle with small text might have issues!
Kicked due to connection a couple of times. I don't know if this is out of the ordinary for Fallguys or if it's because of Easy Anticheat.
It's a little dodgy to get set up, but if you use install scripts and have a keyboard handy it's a lot less painful! Keep pushing Epic to improve EasyAnticheat because this game would be AWESOME to get games like these running natively!
ensure easy anticheat proton is installed in your library under 'tools'
Works pretty much flawlessly with default configuration
GNOME/PopOS would claim the game had become non-responsive in the menus, even when it was running fine. You can keep selecting "Wait" to ignore these warnins as once in-game the popups stop appearing.
The game appears to be smoother in Linux, and apart from the annoying "game has frozen" popup when the game has NOT frozen, it's completely identical to the native install experience.
Stability may just be the state of foxhole. It has the odd crash on most systems. Otherwise runs as good as Windows !
Visual tearing even with VSync enabled. Tearing gets worse if VSync is disabled, but when enabled I still notice tears on the top 1/5th of the screen.
Windowed fullscreen is a must for this game. Can lock your desktop environment easily otherwise!
Rare freezes that may lock your DE if stuck in fullscreen -- windowed fullscreen is a lifesaver!
Seems to work fine
Have only played a few minutes so far so cannot comment on how well it works overall. No issues so far.
Seemed to initially claim it 'couldn't launch' the game, but continuing through the menus it eventually tricked itself into loading. Nice!
certain input combos can trigger in game recording even if theyre unrelated to the binding! not explored solutions yet as is rare
after a while, moving the camera will cause MASSIVE stutters even though the game can handle everything else when not moving the camera
minimap has disappeared
Took a few tries to launch, and currently suffers freezes and crashes that prevent getting in-game
I used proton experimental to get logged in, but seeing crashes I moved to GE 7.30, which allowed me to at least get to the "quick play" countdown menu. Once there, a game would prepare to launch before freezing the app entirely needing me to use steam to kill the process.
As Steamdeck users are getting in-game happily I think this might be an issue with nVidia GPUs. I'll have to watch from the sidelines, but we're getting closer!
no audio past splash screen
Freezes midgame, randomly crashes during menus sometimes.
96% render res, all other options as low as possible
Runs okay, would be nicer to get some higher FPS if they let you reduce settings further (for example, AA is enforced!) and atm goes between 40-55. but it's now pretty damn stable.
It plays flawlessly until it crashes, which is sadly all too common.
Lots of crashing, from fullscreen freezes to random crashes to desktop.
Can't hit 60 on the deck without massively dumping the settings wayyy too low to be enjoyable. If you 40 with some dips and stutters is possible on lowest though!
I think others would enjoy it but for me... meh
%command% --disable-gpu
still borked :(
The rough edges might put some people off, but this is a solid Proton port!
windowed fullscreen not supported. regular fullscreen refuses to alt-tab, must open start menu to properly access other windows
Disabled VSync triple buffering as it was causing heavy stuttering. After that it ran smooth (with no tearing so VSync not really necessary!)
Official MP is pretty quiet, I've yet to try north star client though!
Reinstalled twice, and both times the "login" button doesn't do anything so I can't use my existing account, so can't play with my existing save :/ Usually works fine if you can get past bleedin' ubisoft connect.
Personally there are a few outstanding issues to make it seamless for the Deck. Many will enjoy tho!
Most of the text is pretty hard to read on the deck. The game is definitely designed for a large display in mind.
Using the left stick would limit input from gyro/touchpad mouse. Really jarring and makes the game very difficult to use with touchpads :(
If you don't mind fiddling with the controls you'll probably find a layout that works for you, but right now it feels like the inputs are still designed for KBD/M without much thought in how a player might want to use the touchpads etc. to improve aiming in this predominantly PVP game. So close, yet so far :(
If you limit the framerate and play with a KBD/M you'll find it working awesome out of the box, but defaults for SD are quite poor atm!
The default control scheme is pretty weird. Currently not any official/community layout that resolves this. Right now should be used with KBD/Mouse unless you want to do the work of sorting the layout!
Quite heavy dips from 60 to <30 when panning the camera, especially when zoomed in. I don't think this is a proton issue, rather that the game uses some heavy visual effects that you can't disable easily.
Felt like a native game!
Feels great to play this on my proper rig using Linux. Great work by proton devs :)
