Quite a few stutters when loading new areas, went away when revisiting
Not seeing many reports of stutters, but I'm not sure if it's because my Vulkan Shaders window closed itself at ~10%, but when loading new areas the FPS would drop severely, but staying in the area and/or coming back to it the FPS would be locked to the 120 I set it to.
-NoLauncher -NoStartupMovies
Stuttering firing weapons for the first time, same with visiting new areas and enemies spawning.
As an add-on to my last report, my shaders compiled completely, but the stuttering still remained. The more you play in a single session the less it stutters but it'll happen again if you close and re-launch the game.
Shaders compiled extremely slowly (either that or I'm impatient) otherwise, game ran fine in single player campaign and zombies.
Mixed bag vs using Experimental
ONLY WITH EXPERIMENTAL: the audio drifts in and out of sync (behind) with the pre-rendered cutscenes (mf-install was generally in sync)
ONLY WITH MF-INSTALL: the pre-rendered scenes lower the performance of the game to ~40 (Experimental was ~60)
Ran great outside of the issues with the pre-rendered movies. Both Experimental and mf-install have their own issues, but do not use 9.0-4 as the pre-rendered movies will flash occasionally.
Without mf-install, the Steam overlay would change between a 720p display and a 1080p one, especially during pre-rendered movies. The cursor was also not visible unless hovering over an element regardless of what was used.
Perfect OOB
I don't have a fancy wheel to test but it works well with a keyboard and a controller.
Plays great OOB
Command List Videos do not play (even with experimental)
Switch to Proton for some Workshop mods to work
Some mods crash the game in native (The Go ---- Yourself Intro Mod is a good example).
Perfect OOB
Some mods might cause some rare crashes, YMMV but generally they're going to work fine for the most part.
Runs great OOB, some hitches but it's fine otherwise
Occasional hitches when loading new portions of the map.
Changed the SmootFramerate setting to max out at 165 (my monitors HZ)
You can find it as TdEngine.ini under steamapps/compatdata/17410/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/EA Games/Mirror's Edge/TdGame/Config/
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="wsock32=n,b" %command% (ONLY FOR MODS)
The launch option is only needed if you install SuperBLT for mod support. Mods are literally drag and drop from W*ndows if you have any laying on your "in case" drive. Otherwise download them and go wild.
The Native version is several updated behind (the download is 35GB and when you turn on proton it'll download the other 50GB of content).
Runs perfectly, I personally don't play with mods though.
Check other reports, but it seems the consensus is that mods work just as flawless as vanilla.
Relaunch after downloading workshop items (on fresh install)
Not sure if the relaunch is needed when downloading workshop items after first launch.
Generally works flawless, outside of the video players having some issues (not a big deal imo)
unable to launch Steam Overlay, video player (in at least one world) did not work, did not check others
I didn't check many worlds with video players but apparently it's an issue when they switch from yt-dl to AVPro and it just depends on the player and/or the version of proton being used.
