6.12-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Shadow-map artifacts commonly show up in certain maps or areas
During one mission in the campaign there is a section where you are swimming through a sinking ship, the controls feel like they are actively fighting you when trying to swim forward making hard to progress though this section is quite short
Single player works great, newly added friends on other platform don't appear online until restart
6.10-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Some translucent objects (fog, weapon scopes) flicker at some angles
Mouse input is unplayable
Some objects don't render
Mouse accuracy has frequent dips
No way to control framerate, caps out at ~90
DLC zombie maps Ascension, Call of the dead, and Shangri La require multiplayer to be installed otherwise will crash on load
Disable steam overlay for better performance
STEAMDECK=1 %command% -dx11
Gives an error on launch if no launch options specified, works fine with the listed ones. Performance was acceptable
game would sometimes hang on launch, restarting typically works
Radio tracks will be skipped after about 20 seconds
Mods such as new vegas script extender, new vegas anti crash, new vegas stutter remover, 4GB patch, etc are basically required to play this game on any installation
game needs to be locked to 60 frames per second, otherwise dialogue and animations will break
No longer hangs on latest nvidia driver, but now suffers from graphical issues (epilepsy warning).
Frequent major graphical artifacts, flickering is common
Loading times are egregiously slow
Multiplayer never loads into a match
loading times can still be egregiously long
Great for singleplayer, co-op, and customs. EAC prevents multiplayer
needed to start in windowed mode going fullscreen after works fine
Matchmaking does not work, but custom games and campaign co-op do
Multiplayer Matchmaking does not work, just a continuous loop of finding a match then never loading in. The Custom Game Browser works however
With the latest July update the launching with anti-cheat enabled options now work as expected
Works well with a caveat for nvidia users
On nvidia only with the non raytraced version, transparent objects such as windows, rain, and particles will often incorrectly render in front of things occluding them, very noticeable in cutscenes
If you are on nvidia 10 series or older, you will be unfortunately stuck with the DX12 only version which will perform much worse on these cards. AMD users will be able to select the non_rt_dx11 version under betas in the properties menu in steam for smaller install size and likely better performance
Sometimes has issues when joining friends, once in game it works fairly well
Season pass progress notifications often don't display
