I tried many things. Verify files, Proton experimental, v8,v7, and v6. Also turned off Steam overlay. and reinstalled the game.
I think it may have something to do with easy cheat software. Dissconected from sever. Anti Cheat client not found.
Battle eye does not work. Low memory mode does not work do to needing Battle eye. play without battleeye works but game freezes/crashes often. Unplayable state.
I have been trying various graphics settings to get the game to work properly

It entered EA in January, so maybe the devs should be allowed some time to get everything working. I could not get started, so I can't report on any gameplay. I also tried Proton9.04 and GEProton9,23.
I also tried a couple of Gloriuseggrolls custom protons v 5.9-GE-8-ST, and v 5.21-GE-1
I can create a charectar but when I select to start a new game it starts loading then the screen freezes and I have to restart the computer.

There is a native version but at the moment the native version is borked and the devs are investigating and reaching out to the Unity folks. I use this version until the native version gets fixed but this version is bugy. The game will be properly playable soon. The game is playable but not a lot of fun now. The game has a huge potintual.

I hope the EA release on August 1, 2024 works better
It throws an UE4 error something about expected number of paks being wrong.

Just don't try to switch programs or use the steam overlay or the game might crash.
[ALT]+[TAB] and [ALT]+[SHIFT] result in a crash. The crash report says "Failed to get cursor position."
The devs have stopped updating the game so any bugs might never be fixed unless they are due to proton.
FPS goes in the toilet!
The FPS seemed very slow.
I was playing the tutorial and the started to stutter, slow down then freeze the entire computer requiring a reboot.
I did not test the save game feature.This is the full game not the prologue version.
Plasma crashed then audio and music stopped.
Had to lower resolution from 2k to 1k because the game kept freezing but mostly 59 or 60 FPS.
Graphics hung as I said above. /Plasma crash.
Need to debug Plasma > music and sound crash.
Game caise a hard freez of the entiree computer and is very unstable
It was working but not now. I think one of the deevs said it needs a dll I forgot which one. Its on the Steam forums.
This is the version 1.0 post EA version from January 31, 2025.
I suspect a change was made that Proton doesn't currently address.
It worked two days ago but now it won't start
Tried Proton 5.2 and 6.3 Neither one started the game.
No tinkering runs straght out of the box after telling steam to switch from default of experamental to 7.0-6
Not stable enough for normal gameplay but this is day 1 of EA so maybe give it a week or so.
Intro Video was choppy and sound dropouts
slow mouse response similar to low FPS but FPS indicator showed about 60 FPS.
Game looks like it might be great in the future. Dev shows look promising.
I clicked on play. The game said it was installing Direct X which appear to complete. A few seconds went by and the crash reporter appeared.
No error message was displayed. I had to kill the game process which crashed the crash reporter.

Blank screen right after the end of the driving escape.
1 FPS in some scenes
frequant freezes due to frame rate issues.
Needs work from Proton devs but Windows gamers report bad FPS optomozation in this game.
This the demo version. The game is not officialy released yet.
Since it is a demo version then I am not suprised that it might need some time for proton to get it working. Yes I did download it frrom the steam store but it is a free demo.Game save not possible says YouTuber Raptor.
Just deselect full screen in the configuration tool.
I had to deselect full sceen in the configuration tool or the game would not play.
Only tree chopping and mining sounds. No other sounds working.
I did not test ALT tabing only fullscreen.
It worked before the 8.2.2 on experamental. I tried several versions of proton. I suspect a UE 5.2 problem. Maybe Glorius Egroll can fix it?
I followed Mark aka Dark,instructions but it only showed the splash screen then CTD!
I used the latest from gloriuseggroll.
I tried Proton 6.3.8 and 7.0.2 but got really bad crackling sound drops and sound hesitations.
Sometimes it sounds like the same NPC is Saying the same thing twice but like an echo of the first thing, about 1.5 seconds delayed. Also, the NPC volume is wonky. It's possible this is related to the Sofia mod as others sound ok.
Just Steamplay and switching to Proton Experemental.
