Great game and better experience on linux than windows due to better stability through proton than native windows
Mouse Acceleration was excessive ( Could be same issue in windows but it's been a while) fix by adding following lines to "Fallout_default.ini":
[Controls] fForegroundMouseAccelBase=0 fForegroundMouseAccelTop=0 fForegroundMouseBase=0 fForegroundMouseMult=0
Tinkering only smoothed out the mouse acceleration for QOL but doesn't stop the game from being fun to play. Works in steam proton experimental as well as GE-Proton7-26
No significant issues. Great expereicen. Worked out of the box
Some Stutttering during cinematics
No issues at all. Works great out of the box. (Was beta testing so doesn't show up as I own it)
Game only excepted input from controller if steam controller support is forced off
Sometimes dropped frames but not often
Could not get Origin to run through Proton 6.3-8 but works fine through Proton 5.13-6
You have to start and stop the game a couple of times to get origin properly installed but not much issue
Game froze for half a second during certain animations in menu
Ass long as graphic options aren't run at max game runs smoothly (Could just be my GPU though)
sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386
Origin will not launch without adding i386 architecture
As long as you make the changes I have listed the game runs as good, better even, as when I first played it on PlayStation at release.
Edit "Config.xml" file
Change "VideoWidth" and "VideoHeight" to desired screen resolution. Change "IsKBAndMouse" from "TRUE" to "FALSE" to enable controller support (Game is really meant to be played with controller)
"Config.xml" file found under "/32430/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Aspyr/Star Wars The Force Unleashed" in CompatData folder
Controller support is actually better through proton than native windows.
During out-of-game cutscenes the audio is out of sync and scene can stutter
