Game started loading, but failed to "Connect to master server" and instead was replaced with a "Please ensure anti-cheat is started"
Tried multiple fresh proton versions, including GE-Proton8-3, GE-Proton7-43 (the one the devs say is validated), Proton Experimental, Proton-8.0-2, Proton 7.0-6, and Proton-6.3-8
Also tried installing VC 2022 (on many of the aforementioned proton versions) through winetricks AND running the windows provided installer through protontricks -c 'wine ...'
Their discord has tons of people facing similar anti-cheat related issues, the same and different. It does not appear to be proton-specific at this point in time. However, they are also planning on moving to FACEIT anti-cheat (for their primary servers) which will force linux players to only play on community servers. Of which not all will community servers will work as they can rent servers from a linked provider to utilize FACEIT anti-cheat and make it even more difficult for linux players to decipher which servers are usable

My custom script essentially runs under gamescope

Custom script is basically just gamescope -- %command%
will probably work fine regardless
gamescopify -- %command%
Game ran perfectly fine and I would imagine it would work equally perfectly without any 'tinkering'
